    There is fierce competition in the homogenization of conventional products. Some enterprises are forced to take the means of low price competition to disrupt the market order due to inventory pressure and shortage of funds.


    The export market of chemical fiber is facing increasing pressure from international competition. On the one hand, the global financial crisis has led to a decline in external demand. "Trade protectionism" has risen rapidly, and the trade protection for China's textile and chemical fiber products has been frequent. On the other hand, the low cost competitive advantages of other emerging economies and developing countries such as India and Vietnam have been relatively prominent, and the traditional advantages of "made in China" have been gradually lost.


    Industrial marketing and brand building are lagging behind. At present, China's chemical fiber industry is still dominated by production. The overall profit level is relatively low, lacking of international and modern marketing system, and lack of well-known brands, resulting in many differentiated and functional new products can not achieve better results.

    China's chemical fiber industry has experienced sustained and rapid growth, and is now in the critical stage of pformation and upgrading. The sustainable development of the industry is facing many problems. For example, there are structural surplus in total development, greater challenges from resources and environment constraints, arduous tasks of energy saving and emission reduction, insufficient self innovation capability and further optimization of industrial structure.


    Sustainable development is an important task in the future development of China's chemical fiber industry. In the "12th Five-Year" development plan of the chemical fiber industry, the goal of sustainable development in 12th Five-Year was clearly put forward: accelerating the research and industrialization of biomass fiber, further improving the level of comprehensive utilization of cleaner production and resources, and establishing a recycling economy development mode of chemical fiber industry.

    By 2015, the recycling scale of waste polyester products, chemical fiber fabrics and garments will reach 7 million tons, the energy contract management coverage will exceed 20%, the cleaner production audit coverage rate will exceed 30%, and the emission control in the production process of dry acrylic fiber and viscose fiber should be strengthened, so as to ensure the relevant national emission requirements.

    Progress has been made in the study of enterprise carbon footprint certification.


    The chemical fiber industry has been actively promoting the industry's energy conservation and emission reduction, and building a green and low-carbon development platform for the industry.

    Products, China Chemical Fiber Association, Donghua University, chemical fiber and textile product development center jointly issued the "China fiber trend in 2012/2013", aiming to guide the development of new products and downstream products to high value-added, green and low carbon development. The association has joined hands with the Tek group. Among them, the project of recycling reutilization system for polyester fiber products has entered a substantive stage. The association has worked with Intertek Tianxiang group to provide environmental impact assessment, diagnosis and solution for chemical fiber enterprises, and has carried out carbon footprint certification. Sheng Hong chemical fiber, Hengli Chemical fiber, Eagle Xiang Chemical fiber and Xinmin technology four enterprises have become the first batch of enterprises to obtain Intertek-CCFA product carbon footprint certificate and green leaf label in China. During the international chemical fiber conference last year, the "China chemical fiber recycling economic alliance" was formally established, and its work has been functioning normally and has achieved initial results.     We should strengthen the pformation from terminal management to process monitoring and clean production technology, and promote cleaner production of viscose and recycled fiber.

    We should speed up the elimination and replacement of backward production processes and equipment with high energy consumption, high pollution and low efficiency.

    We should encourage and standardize the development of the fiber industry, accelerate the R & D of biomass renewable and biodegradable materials, actively promote cleaner production, strengthen the comprehensive utilization of resources, reduce the discharge of pollutants, and establish the chemical fiber industry cycle.

    In the future, the way out for the sustainable development of the chemical fiber industry is still pformation and upgrading. We must conscientiously implement seven tasks clearly put forward in the "12th Five-Year plan" of the chemical fiber industry: vigorously promote the quality of conventional products, enhance the added value of products, strive to upgrade the level of high performance fiber production, vigorously promote the development of biomass fibers and their raw materials, actively promote energy conservation and emission reduction and recycling of resources; speed up the improvement of the level of independent technology and equipment for key technologies and equipment; pform the way of industry development, enhance the core competitiveness of enterprises, and continue to optimize the layout of industrial zones.
