According to China Customs statistics, 1~6 textile exports to Australia amounted to US $2 billion 240 million in the first quarter of this year, an increase of 3.24% over the same period last year.
Among them, the export volume of three kinds of silk knitted garments, hat and carpet products increased rapidly, the increase was 28.05%, 24.8% and 16.53% respectively.
It is worth mentioning that in recent years, some small and medium-sized textile enterprises in China have been growing steadily in the market share, and this trend is closely related to the particularity of the Australian market.
The Chinese textile import and Export Chamber of Commerce, which has successfully hosted the 11 China Textile and apparel Fair (hereinafter referred to as "Australia Exhibition"), is deeply touched by this.
The exhibition staff told reporters: "in the Australian market, orders for individual varieties are often only a few hundred. Because small and medium-sized enterprises have greater flexibility in accepting orders, they are more adaptable to the Australian market. At the same time, from the effect of previous exhibitions, the exhibits of small and medium-sized micro enterprises are mostly very distinctive, which also caters to the characteristics of great differences in Australian market demand."
A representative of an Australian exporters pointed out that there are a large number of small orders in Australia, and a 200 order clothing contains several styles and patterns.
This puts forward higher requirements for the production capacity and cost control of enterprises.
But at this stage, small orders are more conducive to enterprises to allocate production resources, accumulate customers, help to start product awareness, and small export orders to Australia are small, product grade is high, added value is also relatively improved, and the price of products can be relatively high.

According to the Australian exhibition director, Australia generally has relatively mild climate, so the demand for heavy thermal clothing is relatively small.

Due to the southern hemisphere, the Australian season and the northern hemisphere are anti season, so Australia's fashion trend is six months later than Europe, and the fashion features gradually become less obvious. This is also one of the reasons why casual wear is popular.
At the beginning of this year, the Australian exhibition attracted the attention of many garment exporting enterprises in China.
According to the China Textile Import and Export Chamber of Commerce, the exhibition will be held on November 20th ~22 at the Sydney Exhibition Center.
It is expected that there will be 203 booths with an exhibition area of 5000 square meters.
At present, garment enterprises are particularly active in participating enterprises.
Nantong three Xiang Garments Co., Ltd. and Huaian Datang International Trade Co., Ltd. both said they will display a variety of light summer clothing at this exhibition.
