But since last year, the wages of workers have increased from 1000 yuan per month to 1200 yuan to 1300 yuan, and the price of water and electricity, accessories and so on has risen. But over the years, the agency processing fee has not risen, but it has been reduced to about 15 yuan now. "If you don't do it, the client will give it to others. Because of the fierce competition, some factories can only take orders at a low price."

Qiu Guangxiong, director of Dongshan garment factory in Guangfeng, said that in addition to the increase in costs, the way of tax assessment according to the factory area is also difficult for enterprises to bear.

Take the factory as an example, the original tax is more than 1000 yuan per month. Since the boss set up a new modern factory building on Dongshan farm new street in 2004, the tax department has increased the tax to the factory area by more than 6000 yuan per month.

Qiu Guangxiong believes that for local clothing processing industry, a scientific and reasonable tax assessment method is also the key to the survival of enterprises.

Zhang Mengfu, owner of Wanfu garment factory, admitted that his factory often received small bills, which were not very large. These orders were all pferred, because the first-hand orders were not at all acceptable, because they were not enough, worried that the amount could not be completed.

Director Qiu Guangxiong said that more than 30 workers had been lost this year, but failed to recruit one person.

He analyzed that, in addition to the industry wage can not keep up with the market price rise, many workers in the local factory skilled, then went to work in Guangzhou and other places, in order to get a higher salary.

Wang Lianwen said that despite the government's annual training of garment processing skills free of charge, there were 4 training sessions for more than 300 local farmers this year, but the number of new workers could hardly catch up with the number of people who lost their jobs.

"Many manufacturers are also aware of the importance of detaining employees, but because the processing fee has not risen, the manufacturers are facing losses, such as the wage increases, and at last only close the door."

Independent brands encounter capital bottlenecks

Reporters learned that in fact, many large garment factories have tried to fight their own brands to enter the market.

The original brand of Chuangxing garment factory is "San Bao Long". It has persisted for about 10 years, and because of its poor market sales, it has finally been replaced by all the others.

Zhang Mengfu, the owner of Wanfu garment factory, once made 3 brand names such as "buddy" and so on. In Haikou, he has opened a special clothing wholesale shop, and some have been doing it for 10 years or 8 years.

Some garment manufacturers believe that their own clothing brands need to invest tens of millions of dollars in advertising costs. For these factories which start by family workshops, it is hard for them to bear. Besides, they may not be able to reclaim their effects.

Although the Dongshan Town garment industry association was established there, the reporter learned that the association was actually one of the Secretary General and President Wang Lian Wen, and the other vice presidents were all the heads of all garment processing plants.

Wang Lianwen said that the main task of the association was to control each processing plant digging into each other. After receiving the factory's report of the "corner digging" of another factory, the Association came forward and sent the workers back to the factory where they worked before, so as to avoid vicious competition.

How to make use of the association to integrate resources and unify orders to realize the resources sharing of garment talents, technical equipment, processing information and so on? The people believe that the role of the industry association still needs to be excavated.

According to the preliminary statistics of Dongshan garment industry association, there are more than 2000 people engaged in garment processing at present. There are not a few of the indirect practitioners who rely on this industry chain to engage in subsequent processing, pportation, and selling cloth accessories.
