According to the statistics of ANCI, the trade surplus of Italy footwear industry exceeded 1 billion 400 million euros in the first 5 months of 2012, an increase of 12.2% over the same period last year.

According to the world footwear industry research report, in 2011, 2 billion 700 million pairs of Chinese consumer shoes were imported, and the import increased by 293% in the recent 5 years. This is a huge rising market for Italy.

Now Italy's exports to China and Hongkong account for 5% of its global export share, the seventh largest destination market for Italian exports, and three times the amount of exports ten years ago.

Italy exports to China the average price of each pair of shoes is 94 euros, which is the highest price in the Italian footwear export destination.

In September this year, the largest and most influential international group was hosted by ANCI.
