First, timely picking.

After bolting, cotton is usually picked every 5~7 days.

If picking too early, cotton fiber has not yet been fully matured, and the yield and quality will be reduced. Picking late, the cotton quilt will be reduced by the wind and sun, and the fiber will be pulled down, and the color will be polluted, which will also reduce the quality of cotton.

It should be noted that after the cotton wadding has been exposed to rain, the pigment from cotton hull, cotton leaves and coated leaves will pollute the fibers, causing the white cotton fibers to appear yellow, red, gray and so on.

If it is caught in continuous rain, it will also cause mildew and rot.

The mixing of "three silk" usually takes place in picking, drying and processing. Especially when picking, cotton farmers use woven bags and nylon rope as picking tools, resulting in mixing woven silk and nylon yarn into cotton, and the hair is easy to mix in picking and drying.
