In recent week (from November 19th to 25th), due to the cold air moving eastward to the south of Sheyang County in Jiangsu, the temperature dropped again and the weather became cold.

The cotton picking and sale progress slowed down and the quality declined at the end stage.

With the continuous reduction of cottonseed prices, seed cotton purchase prices continue to fall, compared with the same period last year.

Price situation.

This week's acquisition of enterprises, 3 cotton seed (mainly cotton traders and some cotton growing households in the middle term cotton), the lint percentage is 38%, the moisture content is less than 11%, the price is still around 8.5 yuan per kilogram, while the lint percentage is 37%, and the moisture content is less than 12%, which has been reduced to about 8.3 yuan.

4 grade seed cotton, 37% lint, 13% moisture, 8.2 yuan per kilogram.

The average price of cotton enterprises in the county was 8.26 yuan, down 0.09 yuan from last week's 8.35 yuan, or 1.08%.

The average selling price of cotton farmers is 8.05 yuan, which is 0.05 yuan lower than last week, or 0.62%.

Compared with the same period last year, the average price of business acquisition and cotton farmers' sale were only 7.4 yuan and 7.1 yuan respectively, compared with 0.86 yuan and 0.95 yuan respectively this year, up 11.62% and 13.38% respectively.

Compared with last week's year-on-year increase of 7.76 and 7.91 percentage points.

The analysis shows that: Although the quality of cotton grades in recent stages has declined due to the change of weather conditions, the overall quality is better than that of the same period last year from the picking progress and the sale of cotton growers.

Cottonseed price.

This week, the price of cottonseed seed sold by all processing enterprises in the county fluctuated within a range of 2.12 yuan to 2.20 yuan per kilogram. The county cotton association calculated the average selling price by 2.15 yuan, according to the sales volume and sales price of each enterprise, down 0.18 yuan, or 7.73%, compared with last week.

Compared with the same period, it increased by 0.11 yuan, an increase of 5.39%.

The main reason for the fall in cottonseed prices is that the demand for terminal products such as cottonseed oil, cottonseed meal and short lint is not strong, and sales are sluggish.

Enterprises reflect that the price of Tong Rong has been reduced to 3500 yuan per ton, and no one is interested in it.

Some small scale enterprises in the county have to follow suit and stop or withdraw early.

This week cottonseed purchase is mainly based on local large scale oil processing enterprises, and the market is not very good, so it is difficult to maintain the stability or uplink of cottonseed prices.

According to the monitoring of the Hunan Cotton Association, recently, the cold air has been affected by the southern air. Most of Hunan's areas continue to rain and clear weather. The temperature is relatively low except that of the southwest part of Hunan Province.

The rainy weather is more and the cooling range is larger. The long time low temperature and low illumination have certain effects on cotton picking and selling in our province.

1. Cotton picking

According to the monthly monitoring of agricultural meteorology in mid - November, the cold air activity in our province was frequent in the middle of November, and the temperature dropped rapidly. The days of precipitation in most parts of Northwestern Hunan and southeastern Hunan were 4-5 days, and ten days of precipitation. Most of the cotton planting areas in Northern Hunan were more than 101-302%.

According to the forecast of the Provincial Meteorological Observatory, it is estimated that from late November to early December, the average temperature of the Northern Hunan is 8-9 degrees, the extreme minimum temperature is 3-4 degrees, and the rainfall is more than ten days.

At present, cotton picking work is developing in full swing in our province. At present, the cotton picking amount is about 85% in the whole province, but at the same time, the excessive rain and less sunshine will bring certain influence to cotton picking and drying in our province.

2, cotton sale

This year, due to the impact of the national cotton temporary purchase and storage in 2012, the price of seed cotton and lint sale did not show any ups and downs for the time being, and prices were relatively stable.

However, it is affected by the price difference between the international cotton price and domestic cotton price (the international cotton price is around 14500 yuan / ton, and domestic cotton price is around 18600 yuan / ton).

The industry continued to slump so that cotton demand is not strong, and this year's cotton purchase fund in our province is more intense, enterprises have restricted purchase, and so on, the overall cotton sales progress is around 60%, the speed needs to be speeded up.

3, cotton prices

Since the beginning of the new cotton scale this year, the market price of cotton has gone lower and lower. Although cotton prices have not reached the psychological expectations of cotton farmers in our province, most cotton farmers have accepted the overall situation of cotton market this year. But cotton farmers generally believe that cotton prices are still low this year, and the prospect of cotton planting next year is not optimistic.

At present, the price of seed cotton purchased by type 400 cotton enterprises in Yueyang, Changde and other cotton growing areas in our province is at 8.05-8.15 yuan / kg (lint 37-38%, moisture less than 14%), and prices remain stable. Some enterprises have more than 38% of their clothes in order to control costs.

The maximum purchase price of 8.40 yuan / kg has been implemented.
