Vietnam hopes that more Chinese garment accessories and textile machinery manufacturers will be stationed and establish long-term trade relations with Vietnamese garment enterprises.

Vietnam is now one of the largest exporter of textiles and clothing in the world, according to Vietnam's Ministry of planning and investment. The Vietnamese textile and garment industry has absorbed about 2 million labor force, and textile and garment has become Vietnam's largest export product. Exports in 2010 exceeded US $11 billion 200 million, an increase of 23% over 2009. Vietnam believes that the textile and clothing industry can achieve export target of US $13 billion in 2011. Exports will reach US $20 billion by 2020.
Reported that at present, Vietnam's cotton output can only meet the domestic demand of 1%. Last year Vietnam imported about 300 thousand tons of cotton, and imported 92 thousand tons in the first quarter, an increase of 262% over the same period last year. Cotton is mainly imported from India, Africa and other countries. It is predicted that Vietnam's imports of cotton will reach 1 million tons / year in the next 10 years. Li Guoan, President of the Vietnam textile and Garment Association (Vitas), said that in the first 6 months of this year, Vietnam's clothing exports were estimated to be US $4 billion 650 million. Vietnam hopes to achieve the export target of US $10 billion 500 million this year.
Vietnam's clothing exports to traditional markets, such as the United States and daily newspapers, increased by 15% and 10% respectively. In addition, Vietnam's clothing exporters also extended their business to other markets, such as China, Taiwan, Korea and ASEAN countries.
At present, Vietnam's clothing products account for 2.69% of the world market share. In the United States and Japan, Vietnam is the second place after China, and Vietnam has 7.4% of Z in the US market.
J share has a 4% share in the Japanese market. The export market of Vietnam's textile industry is mainly the United States, the European Union and Japan, and exports to the United States account for more than 50% of the total textile exports.

The United States is the largest export market of clothing and textiles in Vietnam, accounting for about 51% of total exports, and exports to the United States increased by 10.4% in 1-5 months. The EU is the second largest export market, accounting for about 18% of total exports, while exports to the EU decreased by 1.4% in 1-5 months. Japan is the third largest export market, accounting for 16% of the total export volume, while the export growth of 23% months is 23%.
