He also said that the Bishan County Government will strive to sign 11 non shoe enterprises at the shoe fair, with a total investment of about 6 billion yuan, so as to expand the popularity of the western shoes city and attract more powerful enterprises to take root in the mountain.

He said that at present, the southwest shoe material exchange center, which covers an area of 1000 mu and a building area of 46000 square meters, has more than 400 shoe materials and shoe machines and supporting business operators. The annual turnover is 2 billion 500 million yuan, and is named as "the 20 largest commodity exchange market in Chongqing" by the Chongqing Municipal Commerce Commission and the Municipal Industrial and commercial bureau.

The total investment of 800 million yuan, the total construction area of 80 million square meters of the two phase project is stepping up construction, will be used for all new shoe making and supporting production enterprises, of which 80000 square meters of standardized factory building has been completed.

The three phase of the project has also completed the feasibility study. The preparatory work is being carried out, including three major projects. The first is the two phase of the shoe material trading center market, which is the foundation for the export of leather shoes and bags in Western China. It is estimated that by 2010, the annual output of footwear products in the western shoe market will exceed 100 million yuan, the annual output value will reach 10 billion yuan, the annual turnover will reach 12 billion yuan, and 80 thousand jobs will be provided to the society, more than two national brands will be established, and 15 municipal brands will be formed, so as to form a distinctive footwear industry cluster.

It is understood that after years of development, the shoe industry in Bishan County has formed an annual production of 60 million pairs of leather shoes and an annual output value of 4 billion yuan. Among them, 25 enterprises are approved by the China Leather Association to wear leather marks, and 1 products from the state inspection free products, 6 famous brand products in Chongqing, 4 famous trademarks in Chongqing, two famous products in Chongqing, and the products are sold to more than 20 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions in China, and are exported to Central Asia, South Asia, Europe and Africa.
