Beijing Olympic Torch Relay Taiyuan Trains Pass Taiyuan Steel

Taiyuan Iron and steel (Group) Co., Ltd. (TISCO) is a state owned super large iron and steel complex and the largest special steel and quality steel production base in China. It is the 100 pilot plant in the country to establish a modern enterprise system and 120 enterprises in the country.

TISCO has 70 years of production history.

China's first silicon steel, the first stainless steel and the first hot rolled silicon steel sheet were all born at TISCO.

It is the only factory in China that can produce cold and hot rolled silicon steel sheets at the same time.

Taiyuan Iron and Steel Co., Ltd. has advanced production technology and strong technical equipment. It has formed a steelmaking production line consisting of an electric furnace AOD refining furnace, a vertical slab caster, a hot rolling medium plate production line with universal rolling mill, normalizing furnace and acid pickling as well as an international advanced level cold rolled sheet production line consisting of Sanger's rolling mill, bright annealing line and cold rolling mixed annealing and pickling line.

TISCO is the production base of variety steel in China.

The main products are hot-rolled medium plate, hot rolled sheet, cold rolled narrow strip, hot rolled medium and small-sized steel, forged material, wire rod, metal product and welded pipe.

The torch relay of Beijing Olympic torch factory has created four "first": the first time to enter the enterprise; the first time to pass the train characteristics; the first time to hold the celebration ceremony at the end of the enterprise; the first time to promote the "Olympic refueling and China refueling" civilized gesture on the torch relay line.

TISCO will write the four "first" in the history of Olympic torch relay.
