    Zhang Lulu, director of the comprehensive exhibition area of sports Expo 26, said that there were more than 180 sports shoes and clothing enterprises registered this year, the number was reduced compared with last year, and the famous brands such as 360 degrees, XTEP, PEAK, Conway and so on were absent this time. "XTEP has not participated in the exhibition for several years. According to Zhang Lulu analysis, last year was the Olympic year, so the major sports brands basically came. This year, the concept of Olympic marketing is missing, coupled with the overall downturn of the local sports footwear industry, some enterprises have not signed up for the exhibition because of the consideration of reducing expenditure and adjusting the market strategy.


    In contrast to the decline in the size of the sports shoes and clothing exhibition area, outdoor exhibitors are growing rapidly. According to Qi Yulin, director of outdoor sports and roller skating sports exhibition area, there are 106 outdoor products exhibiting exhibitors this year, an increase of more than 30% over last year. This is the largest increase in the six largest exhibition area of the Expo. "This reflects the vigorous development trend of the domestic outdoor products market."


    According to China Spin Statistics show that the retail sales of China's outdoor products market increased from 60 million yuan in 2000 to 10 billion 700 million yuan in 2011, with an average annual compound growth rate of over 40%. Outdoor products are among the fastest growing retail segments in the past ten years. In the traditional sports industry, sales volume is declining, inventory is high and large-scale business is closed. Over the past two years, the decline has become increasingly evident. As a result, since last year, the brand of traditional sports shoes and clothing has "turned", extending the tentacles to outdoor industries, and Adidas, Lining, Anta, and 360 degrees have launched their outdoor products.


    The Expo 2013 will be held in Beijing New International Exhibition Centre from May 31st to June 3rd. At present, the number of enterprises participating in the exhibition has exceeded 1300, from more than 40 countries and regions in China, the United States, Japan, Germany and Italy.
