Forecast Of Fur Industry Development Prospect In China
Zhang Shuhua, executive vice chairman of China Leather Association and executive chairman of fur Specialized Committee, China Leather Association, is currently the only national coordination, guidance and service industry organization in the leather industry. Its subordinate industries are many, including leather making, shoes making, leather clothing, leather goods, fur, leather chemical industry, leather machinery, leather hardware and supporting materials.
The fur Specialized Committee is the only legal organization registered in the national fur trade association through the registration department of the Ministry of civil affairs.
Its mission is to entrust the government with a bridge and link between the government and enterprises, so as to better serve the upper, middle and lower reaches of fur industry.
Fur industry is an important part of China's leather industry.
The fur industry includes three parts: farming, tanning and processing. It is a complete industrial chain from raw materials to products processing.
In recent years, fur tanning and processed products have been growing steadily. Compared with that, fur farming has lagged behind.
According to statistics, China's fur industry has more than 1200 enterprises of a certain scale (excluding farming).
In 2003, the sales revenue increased by 34% compared with the same period last year, and the total profits and taxes increased by 43% over the same period.
From the point of view of imports and exports, total imports in 2003 totaled 200 million US dollars, up by 27% over the same period last year. The largest imports were tanned furs, accounting for 54% of total imports, up 15% from the same period last year. Next, raw leather accounted for 42.2% of total imports, representing an increase of 40% over the same period last year.
In 2003, total exports amounted to US $890 million, an increase of 72% over the same period last year. Of them, fur clothing was the most exported, accounting for 54% of total exports, up 178% over the same period last year, and has great potential in the international fur market.
At present, China has become a world recognized fur producing country.
From the perspective of resources, the output of Fox Skins (1 million 900 thousand sheets) accounts for about 35% of the world's total output (5 million 290 thousand sheets). Mink production (4 million sheets) accounts for 12% of the world's total output (32 million 830 thousand sheets), and other coarse skins and fine leather resources are also abundant.
From the total import and export volume, according to the 2002 World Trade Yearbook of the United Nations, the total import and export volume of world fur and tanned fur clothing and products has been increasing. Since 2000, the volume of China's import and export trade has increased from sixth to third, and is now moving closer to the second place.
But at the same time, we should also see that we are catching up with the market, and that is where our future market lies.
The fur industry of China's fur industry has a long history in China. It has been a high-end consumer product since ancient times.
However, the fur market is greatly influenced by the international economy. Insiders must understand and master this rule.
When the international financial crisis broke out in 1997, the fur market was hit hard.
Fur industry is extremely sensitive to international economic changes. The aquaculture industry is also the same. Its market is products. When the products fall, the aquaculture industry will shrink immediately.
The real development of aquaculture in China is in the past ten years, because all kinds of economic components, especially private enterprises, have entered the market and injected vitality, thus accelerating the development of the aquaculture industry, laying the foundation for the overall development of fur industry.
We are glad to see that the local governments and associations such as Suning, Tongxiang, Xinji, Dali and Haining already have the awareness of this area and understand the information that guides enterprises to master the international market.
As a production base, as a trade organization, especially the fur Specialized Committee of China Leather Association, it is duty bound to predict and guide the industry market.
At present, fur has moved from the traditional main function of heat preservation to the trend of decoration, and the scope of its application is expanding. Besides the traditional fur garments, the fashionable clothing made of fur and all kinds of fabrics also make up a large proportion. Besides, fur is also used in all kinds of clothing and family adornments. This will hopefully bring fur products from a single winter market to the market of the whole year, and at the same time, from cold areas to a wider fashion city.
Fur products will continue to expand its market with the trend of fashion.
The development prospect of fur industry in China is predicted that the first ten to fifteen years of this century will be the best period for the development of leather and fur industry in China.
At an international conference not long ago, an UN official once joked that China's market remained unchanged for fifty years.
The main reasons lie in: first, China's political stability; second, we have abundant raw material resources and good technology; third, our labor force is relatively cheap and so on.
China Leather Association has actively guided all production bases related to fur industry. Suning, Da Ying, Tongxiang, sang Po, Xinji, Tong Er Bao, Haining and so on have formed characteristic industrial clusters, which is the mainstay of our industry development.
Therefore, a key point of our work is to support the development of fur production base and promote it to become bigger and stronger. At the same time, this is also a support for farmers.
The next step is to support the aquaculture industry, such as Shandong, Liaoning and Northeast China. We should further standardize the organization construction, strengthen management and promote development.
At the same time, we support the auction to enter the fur industry in China and serve the vast number of aquaculture enterprises.
The chairman of the fur Specialized Committee has five members: the executive chairman of Zhang Shuhua is full-time, responsible for the overall daily work; the other chairmen and vice chairmen are part-time; President Zhu Renyong is responsible for international exchanges; Vice President Li Qingyuan is responsible for comprehensive affairs; Vice President He Guoying is responsible for fine leather; Vice President Bai Ming is responsible for rough skin, and vice chairman Zhang Zhiming is responsible for breeding.
Affairs: first, the government is entrusted with the coordination and management of the industry. The China Leather Association is entrusted with the coordination and management of the fur industry entrusted by the state, and makes the formulation and revision of fur standards, quality and major policies and policies, taxation and industry development plans.
Second, do well the bridge and link between the government and the enterprises, and the major scientific research projects of the breeding enterprises can be recommended to the state and the economic and Trade Commission through the association to participate in the completion.
Third, provide various services for aquaculture enterprises, including training, raising farming techniques, helping to raise brand awareness, leading enterprises to build markets and so on.
In terms of training, we need to strengthen cooperation with aquaculture associations, special animal breeding units, strategic research units and technical units, cooperate with relevant foreign units and departments, and constantly improve and promote aquaculture technology.
In terms of brand, we should cultivate more brand of genuine leather logo in the future.
In terms of market construction, we encourage the production base to enter the market in an all-round way. Auctioning is also a driving force for market construction, and we need to support the successful operation of auction houses in China.
