EU Countries Dispute Over Cheap Shoe Imports Again

Two years ago, the European Union reluctantly reached a compromise to impose punitive tariffs on imported cheap shoes.

Now EU countries are once again divided over the import of cheap shoes from China and Vietnam.

Most EU member states of Specialized Committee rejected the EU's proposal to extend punitive tariffs for cheap shoes imported from above countries for up to one year.
