Customs Statistics: Before November, China'S Wool Imports Increased By 15.9%.
At present, China has become the largest wool processing country and consumer country in the world. It has about 400000 tons of wool per year, but the gross domestic wool is only about 120 thousand tons per year. P
To this end, the whole country needs to import nearly 300 thousand tons of gross wool every year, which accounts for 75% to 80% of gross domestic wool raw materials. The huge domestic wool supply gap makes China's wool spinning industry become an industry with high dependence on the international market.
< /p >
< p > according to customs statistics, in the first 11 months of 2013, China's wool imports amounted to 319 thousand tons, valued at 2 billion 500 million US dollars, up 15.9% and 6.5% respectively compared with the same period last year (the same period). The export volume was 14 thousand tons, valued at 80 million US dollars, respectively, by 3.8% and 2.2% respectively; the trade deficit was 2 billion 430 million dollars, extending 7%.
Over the same period, the average price of China's wool imports was 7856.2 US dollars / ton, down 8.1%, and wool export was US $5543.2 / ton, a slight increase of 1.7%.
(Fig. 1) < /p >
< p > 1. Monthly import volume showed a trend of concussion, which reached a new high in April. Since June, the average price of wool imports has continued to rise, and exports are basically stable.
The monthly export volume of China's wool is small and basically stable, maintaining between 1000 tons and 1500 tons. Of these, the export volume was the lowest in October, 1059.7 tons, and the largest export volume in March was 1544.4 tons.
The monthly import volume of wool is much larger than that of export, and the fluctuation is larger.
From Figure 1, we can see that the import of wool in China was at least 18 thousand tons in February, while in April it was the largest import volume, reaching 41 thousand tons, an increase of 2.3 times compared with February.
In September, the average import price reached the lowest level in the year. In October, it began to rebound strongly, and the average import price was 7355 US dollars / ton, an increase of 0.8% over the same period last year.
< /p >
< p > two, wool import and export varieties are diversified, raw wool is the main import varieties, imports accounted for more than 80%.
Judging from the import and export varieties, China's wool import and export products can be divided into raw wool, washed wool, wool and wool waste. Import trade is mainly made of raw wool, and export trade is mainly washed wool.
In the first 11 months, raw wool imports accounted for 81.1% of wool imports, washed wool accounted for 16.8%, wool wool and wool waste accounted for only 1.3% and 0.7% respectively.
In the same period, exports of washed wool, wool and wool waste accounted for 38.9%, 18.8% and 42.4% of gross export volume respectively.
The specific conditions of import and export of wool products are as follows: < /p >
< p > 1) the import of raw wool increased and there was no export.
In the first 11 months, China imported 259 thousand tons of raw wool, an increase of 15.8% compared with the same period last year.
< /p >
< p > 2) wash wool imports and increase exports.
In the first 11 months, China imported 54 thousand tons of washed wool, an increase of 16.4% over the same period last year.
The export volume of washed wool was 5 thousand tons, down 13% compared with the same period last year, and the export volume was 10 million US dollars, down 13.3% compared with the same period last year.
< /p >
< p > 3) the import of wool fell and the export volume decreased.
In the first 11 months, China imported 4177 tons of wool wool, an increase of 18.2% over the same period last year.
The export of wool fell 2648.8 tons, down 9.1% from the same period last year.
< /p >
< p > 4) the import and export amount of wool wastes is less. In the first 11 months, the import of wool wastes in China was only 2345 tons, up 10.1% over the same period last year.
The export volume of wool waste was 5981 tons, an increase of 9.7% over the same period last year.
< /p >
< p > with the development of a href= "http://www.91se91.com/news/index_c.asp" > dress > /a and decorative fabrics, the wool textile industry has significantly increased the demand for Western wool, especially ultra-fine wool.
Xinjiang is one of the five largest pastoral areas in China. Relying on the huge domestic consumer market of fine wool, we should vigorously develop the fine wool industry in Xinjiang.
< /p >
< p > three, from the point of view of importing countries, Australia is still the most importing country in China in the first 11 months, and the amount of wool imported from Australia is as high as 166 thousand tons, accounting for 52% of the total imports of wool in the same period. New Zealand is the second largest importer of wool in China. Thanks to the agreement rate, New Zealand's export to China has increased.
In the first 11 months, China imported 62 thousand tons of wool from New Zealand, accounting for 19.4% of the total imports of wool.
In addition, China has imported a small amount of wool from Britain, South Africa and Uruguay. The total import volume of these 3 countries is 45 thousand tons, accounting for 14.1% of the total imports of wool.
< /p >
In the same period, China's three largest export destinations for wool were South Korea, Italy and Belgium. The exports to these three countries were 2821 tons, 2294 tons and 1833 tons respectively, accounting for 20%, 16.3% and 13% of China's wool export volume respectively. P
In addition, China also exported a small amount of wool to Nepal, Japan and Germany. Its total export volume was 4526 tons, accounting for 32.1% of the total wool export.
< /p >
< p > four, the import and export provinces of China's wool industry are mainly concentrated in the coastal areas of Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces, and other less than a href= "http://www.91se91.com/news/index_c.asp" > wool textile industry < /a > more developed areas, and the wool trade of Jiangsu province is most developed.
In the first 11 months, the main import provinces of wool in China were Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Beijing, Shanghai and Shandong. The total import of wool in these 5 provinces amounted to 296 thousand tons, accounting for 92.9% of China's gross wool imports.
Among them, Jiangsu imported 174 thousand tons of wool, accounting for 54.5%, and Zhejiang imported 52 thousand tons of wool, accounting for 16.4%.
The main export provinces of China's wool are Jiangsu, Hebei, Zhejiang, Tibet and Shandong. The total export of wool in these 5 provinces is 13 thousand tons, accounting for 93.1% of the total amount of China's wool exports.
Among them, the export volume of Jiangsu's wool was 6105.9 tons, accounting for 43.3%, and the export volume of Hebei's wool was 3199.2 tons, accounting for 22.7%.
< /p >
< p > < strong > the main influencing factors that affect China's < a href= "http://www.91se91.com/news/index_c.asp > > wool > /a > Import and export trade are: < /strong > /p >
(P) (1) the development of downstream industries will promote the continuous growth of wool imports in China.
In the past few decades, due to the relatively low labor costs, wool processing and textile production have been pferred from developed countries (Australia, Britain, France, etc.) to developing countries (China, India, etc.). China has become the largest producer and exporter of textiles and clothing. The export of wool clothing accounts for 50% of the total exports of the world. The development of downstream industries has led China to become the largest importer of wool.
According to the data released by China textile daily, by 2020, the total output value of China's textile enterprises above Designated Size will exceed 10 trillion yuan, and will be increased by more than 2 times.
The Australian Bureau of agriculture and resource economics predicts that China's wool imports will continue to grow, and that it will grow by 124 thousand tons in 2025, reaching 427 thousand tons in 2010.
< /p >
< p > (two) international wool price advantage is more and more obvious.
At present, the quota management of imported wool in China is implemented. The annual quota of imported wool is 287 thousand tons, the tariff within the quota is 2%, and the quota tariff is 38%.
According to the WTO trade rules, tariff reduction outside the quota is an inevitable trend. From the perspective of future development, international wool prices will have more advantages.
Therefore, cheap and cheap Australia, New Zealand and other countries "foreign wool" are driving directly into the market and monopolize China's wool market. China's wool import dependence will further improve.
