    In 2008, the China Federation of textile industry (SPC) launched the first China social responsibility report guide. Up to now, more than 60 enterprises have released the social responsibility report on the industry platform, which has aroused great repercussions at the international supply chain and domestic policy level.


    In order to promote the experience of industrial social responsibility in a deeper and wider range, and build the resultant force of sustainable development in the industry, in response to the new expectations of domestic and international consumers and supply chain partners for social responsibility work in recent years, as well as the new requirements of the Federation on further social responsibility construction, the China Garment Association joint China Federation social responsibility office launched the "China's garment industry social responsibility collective action project" on the theme of "responsible brand and sustainable consumption" in early 2014, and immediately received more than ten industry brand enterprises and leading enterprises' positive response.


    It is understood that the project was officially launched in March 2014, divided into three stages, including industry initiative, social responsibility report released by garment enterprises, report evaluation feedback and enterprise management promotion, which lasted for six months. By jointly issuing the Declaration on collective responsibility for social responsibility in China's apparel industry, and promoting collective responsibility in the process of "reporting and promoting management", we should promote the coordinated action of industry enterprises in the field of social responsibility and the healthy competition in performance, and strengthen and tap the social responsibility management ability and sustainable development potential of garment enterprises.
