    Because there is no export channel and exit to the sea, Yiwu's exports of small commodities to Central Asian countries are not smooth. The ancient Chinese tea and silk transported to Central Asian countries depended on the famous "Silk Road". The starting point was in Xi'an. Now, Yiwu has the largest wholesale market of small commodities in the world, and the silk road that has reached East and West is rising again. In order to get through the new silk road of small commodities, Yiwu customs and other departments have opened up a new way of "Railway Clearance": starting from the customs declaration of Yiwu, transporting them through Lanxin railway to the port of Alashankou, and then turning over to export abroad. In April 23rd last year, the "Railway Clearance" was formally approved by the higher authorities. In January this year, "Yixin Europe" (Yiwu Central Asian five countries) was launched as an international container special train. It is known as a green long dragon on the new silk road. It marks the completion of the international railway intermodal logistics corridor in Zhejiang and Yiwu directly to Central Asia.


    According to Fang Xudong, deputy general manager of the railway operation Fang tianmeng Industrial Company, small commodities exported to five Central Asian countries, after completing the customs declaration in Yiwu, through the new mode of "Railway Clearance", they arrived at the Alashankou customs 7 days later.     Before that, Yiwu's small commodities must be transported by road, exported to Ningbo and Shanghai, transported to the main ports in Russia by sea, and then transported to the Central Asian countries through the hinterland cities of Russia.     Yiwu's small commodities go strong into Central Asia

    "In the past year, many Central Asian traders who have left Yiwu for several years have returned and new traders have joined." Liu Fengxian has done more than 10 years of trade in Central Asia, and the cargo transported by Yiwu Pacific International Freight Forwarding Co. Ltd. is responsible for more than half of the total freight volume of Yiwu's new silk road.


    At present, the living standard of the Central Asian countries and the mainland of China in the 90s of last century are in a period of rapid development. The light industry is lagging behind, and the demand for consumer goods is very large. Chinese products are very popular. Since the opening of the new Silk Road, more and more buyers have chosen this line to export goods to five Central Asian countries.


    On this line, at present, the Pacific International Freight Forwarder sends about 200 standard containers per month, mainly for daily necessities, such as pots, pans and pans. clothes , Shoes and Hats Toys and so on. Across Yiwu, the volume of freight to Central Asia is increasing every month: at the peak of last year, there were 150 container containers in one month, and more than 350 in April this year.


    Besides the shortening of freight time, the related logistics cost is also reduced. Fang Xudong said that through Ningbo's shipping plus Russia's inland transportation, the freight cost of a container standard box from Yiwu to Almaty is about 5~6 million yuan, and the cost of passing the railway directly to the Alashankou to Almaty is about 30 thousand yuan, with a maximum savings of about 40%. According to Liu Fengxian's calculation, the average cost of logistics is reduced by 20~30%.


    The decrease of logistics cost in turn has improved the competitiveness of Yiwu's small commodities in Central Asian countries.
