UNIQLO And UNICEF Visit Chongqing AI Sheng School

In April 29th P, the delegation of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) and UNIQLO[UNIQLO went to Zhongxian, Chongqing, to visit three schools for love students, and to understand the progress of the comprehensive environmental improvement projects supported by them.

After participating in the smiles and dreams of the children, the representatives who participated in this event were more determined to continue to push forward the project's determination to promote a better society in China.

< p > "China UNICEF AI Sheng school comprehensive environmental improvement project" was implemented by the Ministry of education in collaboration with UNICEF and funded by the UNIQLO[UNIQLO's "ClothesforSmile" fund.

< p > for children's better tomorrow, UNIQLO[UNIQLO and UNIQLO[UNIQLO global ambassador and professional tennis player Novak Dyokovic (NovakDjokovic) jointly established the "ClothesforSmile" charity fund in 2012.

Part of the fund is used to work with UNICEF to help improve the educational environment of children in Bangladesh, China, Philippines and Serbia, while the other is used to fund the 8 major projects to help children achieve their dreams and hopes from the world.

< p > 2013, as part of "ClothesforSmile", UNIQLO[UNIQLO] China and the United Nations Children's fund jointly launched the WASHPlus project. The project aims to promote the formation of a good atmosphere for improving the water supply and sanitation facilities in the whole society, and to promote sustained attention in children's health, nutrition and personal hygiene.

In order to understand the progress of the project, representatives from all sides came to Zhongxian, Chongqing, and visited three of the schools which had implemented the project. They learned about the current situation and improvement of school environment, water supply, environmental hygiene and personal hygiene habits.

The director of the Department of health and nutrition and water and environmental hygiene of the United Nations Children's fund, Dr. Xie Ruobo (RobertScherpbier), and the main person in charge of water and environmental sanitation projects, UNIQLO[UNIQLO] greater China CEO Pan Ning, UNIQLO[UNIQLO] greater China COO Takasaka Takeshi, the Chongqing Municipal Education Commission and Zhongxian Education Commission's relevant person in charge, UNIQLO[UNIQLO] staff representatives participated in the visit.

< p > the Ba Ying primary school, Tu Jing primary school and Gan Jing primary school in Zhongxian, Chongqing, have varying degrees of inadequacy in the whole campus environment, safe drinking water, sanitation facilities and personal hygiene education, which are undoubtedly a great threat to the nutritional improvement and healthy growth of school children.

The all round environmental improvement project of AI Sheng school has been officially launched since April 2013.

At the beginning of the project, all principals and teachers and students of the project schools received relevant training. They had a deeper understanding of school water supply and drinking water safety, environmental sanitation facilities (especially toilet facilities) improvement, management and maintenance, cultivation of good personal hygiene habits, nutrition matching, safety, disaster prevention and response, and training students' good health and hygiene concept.

In terms of hardware facilities, the project has built or rebuilt toilets and hand washing facilities in some demonstration schools. At the same time, the school has also established a clean management system in canteens, drinking water facilities, dormitories, toilets, etc., and strengthened supervision and inspection. The overall hygiene conditions of the campus have been greatly improved, thus ensuring the healthy and happy growth of students.

The children and teachers are delighted that the campus where they live and study everyday is becoming cleaner and more hygienic.
