Footwear Export Enterprises Need To Pay Attention To The Regulations Of Chromium Content In Different Countries.
Recently, a woman in Wenzhou exported to France. shoes The EU was notified of the problem of exceeding six price chromium. In June, China exported four children's shoes exported to France and Spain to consumers' warnings because of chromium exceeding the standard by the European non food quick warning system (RAPEX). In February, the European Commission's non food quick warning system issued a consumer warning to Chinese leather gloves because the leather gloves contained 6mg/kg chromium. Over the past two years, shoes and garments made in China and Leatherwear The products have been recalled by the European Union and other countries. The reasons for the announcement are chromium exceeding the standard.
"Six valent chromium" is recognized as a carcinogenic high toxic substance, which can cause allergy and have a lasting danger to the environment through skin contact. Therefore, the regulations on chromium content in products directly contacted with human skin and shoes in various countries have very strict regulations. The EU countries have strict restrictions on the chromium content of products. What most enterprises know is the "chemicals registration, evaluation, authorization and restriction regulation" issued by the European Commission (REACH regulations), but this is only a general standard.
In March 26th this year, the European Commission amended the annex 17 of the REACH regulations, limiting the six valent chromium (VI) content of imported leather products to 3ppm, or three parts per million, and the new regulation will take effect in May 1, 2015. Before the promulgation of the new rules, only Germany in the European Union was right. clothing The watchdog, strap, bag, chair, sofa, neck bag and leather toy will implement the prohibition of six valent chromium content not exceeding 3ppm, while the requirements of other EU member countries for six valent chromium are controlled at 1000ppm, and the difference between the two is more than 333 times. At present, France, Spain and Slovakia have begun to control the six valent chromium content according to the new regulations, and issued RAPEX bulletins for over standard products.
In addition, more attention should be paid to the safety footwear standards adopted by the European Commission for Standardization in 2012 and the ecology of 2014 editions. Spin Product standard Oeko-Tex100, in the 2012 safety shoes standard, stipulates that the six price chromium content of safety shoes is not more than 3ppm, but it is only limited to the safety shoes. The 2014 edition of eco textiles has a requirement of <0.5ppm for six valent chromium and a limit of 10ppm for leather products in eco textiles.
EU countries have different restrictions on the six valent chromium, and export enterprises should make corresponding changes according to the different export countries.
