P: Q: can you tell us how you collaborated with Roland (micro-blog) Patti to create the costumes of bats?

P: A: we have worked together a lot of dance works together.

I started my career in Teatro alla Scala, and I have been involved in the design and production of many operas, ballet and modern dance costumes for many years.

Among them, the most demanding and most refined is the ballet costumes.

By chance, Mr. Patti saw my design work in Scala, and was very interested in this.

When Mr. Patti found out that I wanted to design the costume of bat, I could say that it was a hit and go.

This is an excellent work adapted from the opera of the same name, and the story itself is very attractive.

Plus the premiere of the play's lead actress is Mr. Patti's wife, Gigi Jean Maier, which makes choreographer attach great importance to this work.

Out of my longstanding trust in my work, I eventually chose to design the costume of the dance drama by me.

His demands are very demanding. You must follow his thoughts and intentions.

We often have some differences in our work, but we are all committed to the creation of this work, and we have the same goal, so we will not care about it at the end, because everyone is for the sake of art.

I can understand his thoughts as a director.

Some people can't bear to work with him, but I won't quarrel with each other.

Though demanding and somewhat eccentric, I can learn a lot from him and get inspiration from his writing.

< p > Mr. Patti likes Chinese culture very much and always wants to cooperate with Chinese artists.

This can be seen from a trivial matter.

Ten years ago, we were writing "Proust" in Paris (according to Proust's novel "reminiscence"). The actresses were wearing white clothes and holding an umbrella in their hands.

I designed the umbrella pattern of the noble ladies in France in nineteenth Century.

During the rehearsal, the umbrella was not ready. Instead of buying some small umbrellas in China for emergencies.

Before the performance, the umbrella I designed was done. As a result, Mr. Patti lost his temper and said, "what umbrella is this design? It is far too far from a Chinese style umbrella. It is absolutely worthless and taken away."

Mrs. Maier comforted me at that time. She stroked my shoulder and said, "don't take it to heart. When we go to China one day, you can use your umbrella."

The last performance is Chinese umbrella, which shows his love for Chinese cultural symbols.

< p > Q: what do you think is the most difficult part in the design of bat?

P: answer: Ballet's costume design and tailoring have its own tradition and style. When it comes to difficult areas, the tuxedo in bats should refer to the design style of the opera, and let the actors wear it without affecting the dance. This requires us to think about the cutting, the length and the wrinkle arrangement.

Because costumes are directly related to dance and drama, every paragraph of interest that the audience is interested in shows his feelings.

If this story touches him most, then the costumes are the brightest.

So in my view, the costumes are very beautiful, and everyone can learn something he likes.

Of course, the dance sections like "Kang Kang" and "Hungarian Dance" are very exciting.

The family life scene at the beginning of the performance is also very cozy and eye catching.
