Ding Fuchen said that the newly developed organic solvent system containing catalyst and biomass separation and extraction technology can separate and extract cellulose, hemicellulose and lignin from biomass. It has high utilization rate of raw materials, recyclable solvents, less water consumption, low comprehensive energy consumption, no waste liquid, waste gas and waste residue, environmental protection and low investment in equipment, and the high yield and purity of the "three element" products obtained from separation and extraction, and the quality of products meets the relevant standards after testing.
Zhang Ziyu, the Beijing Dream Fox Yutong Bamboo Fiber Research and development center, said that using new technology to separate and extract new high purity lignin, because of its unique technology and physical properties, it could extend the development of a wide range of high-tech products, involving aerospace, military, solar energy, microelectronics and other fields. Lignin can also become an almost endless renewable energy and resources of biomass. The extracted cellulose can be used as textile raw materials, pulp and building materials industry, etc. hemicellulose (pentose) is an important pharmaceutical, food and chemical raw material.
