Ningbo Clothing Festival Welcomes "Adult Ceremony"
The pressure of economic downturn and comprehensive cost increase has made local textile and garment industry weak in recent years.
Despite the multiple adverse environmental impacts, Ningbo's textile and garment industry has maintained an upward trend.
In the first half of this year, Ningbo's textile and garment enterprises above Designated Size realized industrial output value of 52 billion 303 million yuan, an increase of 2.28% over the same period last year, and achieved a sales value of 50 billion 811 million yuan, an increase of 2.85% over the same period last year. The value of export delivery reached 18 billion 552 million yuan, up 3.32% over the same period last year.
Over the years, the Ningbo international garment Festival has played an important role in promoting the development of local garment industry in terms of brand development, resource integration and business dealings.
This year, the Ningbo clothing festival also ushered in its own "adult ceremony".
In October 23rd, the eighteenth Ningbo international costume festival (abbreviated clothing festival) opened in Ningbo International Convention and Exhibition Center.
This clothing festival is sponsored by the China Textile Industry Federation, the China clothing association and the Ningbo Municipal People's government for 4 days. It is closely linked to the main line of "four links, three units and one upgrade". It aims to make the industrial chain, the market chain, the excellent service chain and the strong innovation chain. Through the three carriers of the exhibition booth, dance stage and platform, the festival will be promoted.

Compared with previous years, the Expo has been on a new scale, with an exhibition area of 45 thousand square meters and a total of 2000 booths. There are 241 enterprises and 265 brands from 6 countries, 16 provinces, municipalities, autonomous regions, Hongkong, Taiwan and other places in China.
Apart from men's wear, women's wear, children's wear and outdoor exhibition, this exhibition is the first time to set up student wear exhibition area.
As an important cluster of China's garment industry, Ningbo garment industry has been actively promoting and demonstrating the development of the local garment industry. The textile and garment industry is also one of the most advantageous and largest industries in Ningbo.
In 2013, the total output value of Ningbo's textile, clothing and apparel industry reached about 60000000000 yuan, and its sales output value was about 58 billion 200 million yuan, with a total profit of 5 billion 553 million yuan, all of which maintained a year-on-year growth trend.

However, under the new situation of slowing domestic demand and slow recovery of external demand, the garment industry in Ningbo is also facing the pressure of pformation.
In the face of the pformation demands of Ningbo's garment industry, this Ningbo clothing festival will integrate the business, talent and industrial chain resources through the exhibition platform to boost the pformation of local garment enterprises.
During the exhibition, the organizing committee will optimize the structure of merchants, improve the investment network, and form a three-dimensional business structure with the expansion of garment agents, franchising, international procurement as the main body, and professionals from the creative design, research and development, information and other industries as the extension, with domestic and foreign embassies and consulates, trade promotion agencies and business associations.
During the costume festival, the Chinese garment forum and related parallel forums with the theme of "channel innovation and industrial convergence" were also held to try to help the garment enterprises in pformation to seek the development focus under the new situation.
In view of the importance of design resources to the pformation of garment industry, increasing the integration of design resources has also become an important task of the current clothing festival.
2014 Ningbo international fashion week was held during the clothing festival. Unlike previous fashion week, this year's fashion week opened its exclusive LOGO.

On the fashion week, the organizers invited 9 fashion brands to hold new products, 10 new designers released new products, and Hong Kong Polytech University, Taiwan Fu Jen University and Tsinghua University Academy of Fine Arts held a press conference.
Christie, the famous overseas dress brand, held the first show for the clothing festival.
At the same time, the clothing festival also actively held relevant activities to promote the exchange and docking between domestic and foreign design talents and local garment enterprises.
