APEC Conference Fashion Designer Latest Works

Professor Zhang Xiaoli, honorary Dean of Sichuan Institute of fashion and Fashion Institute of Sichuan Normal University, participated in the production of sample making for leaders of the APEC conference, and received excellent certificates from the office of the leading group of the preparatory work for the conference.

On the evening of 12, Zhang Xiaoli, who was attending a fashion show in Chongqing, received a telephone interview with the reporter, telling her story behind the costume sample production.

Integrating two sets of design manuscripts of Shu brocade, printing two major books

"At the beginning of this year, I was invited to design the clothing of APEC leaders."

Zhang Xiaoli said.

After being invited, Zhang Xiaoli began to look up materials, familiarize himself with the dressing of all previous APEC leaders, carefully understand the customs of various countries, and finally chose two stable and elegant hue of "dark red" and "blue", and made two design proposals.

In the proposal of "Hanbo national color" and "Ya Yun Tian Xiang", Zhang Xiaoli integrated into Hanfu, peony, shawl, Shu Brocade and other elements.

At the same time, Zhang Xiaoli set the material in the design draft as Shu brocade.

Zhang Xiaoli remembered that her two set of design manuscripts had printed two whole books, and the second day was the deadline. She hurried to express the past.

Looking for materials to make 16 sets of ready-made clothes.

In March of this year, Zhang Xiaoli received a notice of reassessment, asked her to continue to excavate the creative idea, complete the design of two versions of the conference dress and banquet, and brought the ready-made clothes in April 25th to participate in the reappraisal in Beijing.

As for the time, Zhang Xiaoli was worried. "In a short month, it will be too heavy to design two editions."

Zhang Xiaoli went to all parts of the country to find suitable fabrics and make them in a garment factory in Wenjiang.

In April 25th, Zhang Xiaoli and the design team came to Beijing to take part in the review with two versions of the design.

They designed the two proposals of "Han and silk national color" and "elegance and fragrance", including nearly 30 clothes, including 16 pairs of men's and women's garments.

There were about 8 judges at the scene, asking for details about the design concept, design elements, clothing materials and so on, and took 6 pictures from each side of the front and side of the dress, then collected and saved them.
