ISO Released Several Textile Testing Standards

The standard organization (ISO) has continuously released the second parts of the test standard for textile antifungal performance, the two standard test standards for textile fabric antistatic properties.

This series of standards is used to determine the antifungal and antistatic properties of specific functional textiles, including woven and knitted fabrics, fibers, yarns and finished products.

Since the launch of the antiviral textile testing standard in August this year, the organization has issued three functional textile testing standards continuously.

With the continuous warming of the export of functional textiles, the corresponding testing standard system has gradually developed. ISO has formulated a series of functional evaluation methods, including flame retardance, UV resistance, radiation protection, physiological comfort, oil repellency, water absorption and water repellency.

The publication of the three test standards of antibacterial, antistatic and antiviral marks the further improvement of the international evaluation system of functional textiles.

China is a big exporter of textiles.

In the first three quarters, China's textile and apparel exports totaled US $221 billion 935 million, an increase of 5.92% over the same period last year.

In the first three quarters of the Ningbo port, the export of textile yarn, fabrics and products exceeded US $13 billion 879 million, an increase of 6.77% over the same period last year.

Inspection and quarantine experts pointed out that for small and medium private enterprises with the main business mode of processing orders and incoming samples, the export value of textiles is often low.

It is of great benefit to break through export bottlenecks and expand export markets by gaining huge export profits, enhancing the proportion of functional products and enhancing independent research and development.

To remind the relevant enterprises, on the one hand, we should further study the development trend of the international textile industry, explore the market prospect of functional textiles, and conscientiously study the relevant evaluation standards of functional textiles, and grasp the right direction for the development of enterprises. On the other hand, we should increase R & D investment, devote great efforts to research and develop high value-added products, and strive to enter the international high-end product market.
