    The Spring And Autumn Trade Fair Closed At $679 Million, A Slight Decrease Of 3.9% Compared With The Same Period Last Year.

    The total number of exhibitors in the 115th Canton Fair in Quanzhou was 679 million US dollars, down 3.9% from 113 in the same period last year. However, the decline in export pactions was significantly lower than the average level in the province (down 5%).

    It is understood that the 115th Canton Fair Quanzhou City, a total of 487 enterprises participating in the exhibition, 1546 booths, the number of exhibitors and the number of exhibitions accounted for 40.58% and 45.27% of the province respectively.

    Among them, 57 enterprises entered the brand exhibition area, 398 booths accounted for 43.59% of the provincial brand exhibition booth.

    Compared with the 113 session, the number of exhibitors in Quanzhou has increased by 3.7% compared with that of the United States. The turnover in Japan, ASEAN and the Middle East has dropped by 4.9%, resulting in a slight decrease in overall turnover.

    Compared with the 113 session, daily necessities, such as household ceramics, textile and footwear, increased by 5%, and the turnover of mechanical and electrical products decreased by 4%. The demand for non essential necessities such as resin gifts, holiday products and toys decreased by more than 10%.

    Brand enterprises continue to lead the paction.

    Quanzhou brand enterprises are active in resisting competitive risks such as exchange rate fluctuations, comprehensive export costs and market demand changes. Brand turnover accounts for more than 35% of the total turnover of the city.

    In addition, orders are biased against single or short orders.

    Due to the recent fluctuations in the RMB exchange rate and the inadequacy of the international market demand, most merchants are placing orders more cautiously.

    The proportion of short list accounts for less than 3 months is 53% in Quanzhou's participating enterprises, and 32% in the 3 to 6 months, and 15% in 6 months.

     

    Export growth or twists and turns

    According to the briefing, the number and volume of overseas buyers and sellers in the Canton Fair have reached a new low of five years, indicating that the overall demand environment of the world economy has not been effectively improved, and the international market is still in the process of in-depth adjustment and development. Various uncertainties are still outstanding, and the overall situation of foreign trade is still grim.

    Although the overall turnover was slightly lower, the long list ratio was low, and the short and medium bills were the main ones. However, at present, Quanzhou's foreign trade enterprises are relatively well placed in hand orders, and Quanzhou's foreign trade export growth is expected to continue in the short term.

    The relevant person in charge of the Municipal Bureau of foreign trade and economic cooperation said that under the influence of multiple adverse factors such as complex and changeable international environment, slow recovery of world economy, rising domestic comprehensive cost and expanding RMB exchange rate fluctuation, Quanzhou's foreign trade export may show a wave like development trajectory. The export volume of the whole year is expected to continue to grow, but the growth rate may fluctuate in the second half of this year.

    The situation suggests that the export enterprises should actively foster the new competitive advantage of "quality, technology, service and brand" through strengthening the construction of independent brand, independent intellectual property rights and independent marketing network, and actively seek the leap from "made in Quanzhou" to "created in Quanzhou".
