With the development of the shoemaking industry and the improvement of people's living standard, the standard is no longer suitable for the development of the industry. In 2011, the national footwear Standardization Technical Committee revised the standard of "GB/T15107-2005 shoes".

GB/T15107-2013 "travel shoes" was released in October 10, 2013, and implemented in June 1, 2014. The standards added limited material requirements and so on.
