    The Ministry of Commerce of China has held the 2011 "China mainland international textile and garment trade development forum" at the holding of the Canton Fair. Around the theme of "brand and core competitiveness", invited guests from the international textile and Garment Association, such as the international garment Federation (IAF), the European brand clothing alliance, and the representatives of well-known textile and garment brands at home and abroad to participate in the forum.


    When Fu Ziying attended the forum, he pointed out that at present, China's textile and garment exports account for 1/3 of the global market share, and trade partners in more than 200 countries and regions all over the world provide consumers with high cost performance and high quality products.

    Fu Ziying said that China's textile and apparel industry is still facing weak innovation and design capabilities, lack of independent brands, weakening of export price advantage and international market.

    Fu Ziying hopes that Chinese textile and garment enterprises in the mainland will actively introduce foreign advanced design resources, enhance their own design capabilities, and take R & D design as the internal productivity of enterprises.

    On the other hand, we should strengthen cooperation between Chinese and foreign brand enterprises, broaden their development ideas, cultivate the 1 batch of China's mainland brands with international influence, and realize the domestic and international trade with the help of international trade platform.

    We should establish an international marketing network and improve the capability of developing the international market.


    Huang Yuefeng, director of the textile department of the Ministry of foreign trade of the Ministry of Commerce of China, said that textile exports in 2011 were warmer than in 2010, but still below the average growth rate during the normal period.


    Overall, China's textile and clothing export situation is better than expected at the beginning of the year.

    The competition in the international textile market is quite fierce, and the trade friction phenomenon is still serious. The pressure of business operation in mainland China is increasing, resulting in the expansion of export internal strength.


    To this end, the regulatory task of the textile and garment industry is still quite arduous, and we need to continue to pform the way of foreign trade development and accelerate the pformation of the direction of foreign trade development.
