The industrial design competition, founded in 2008, is the first industrial design competition in China to be named after the name of the head of the government.
Since 2013, in order to comply with the trend of the times and the trend of industrial development, the provincial governor has approved and agreed to hold the "governor Cup" costume design competition.
The special events, guided by innovation drive, integrate the resources of government, production, learning and research in the field of design innovation in Guangdong Province, establish a collaborative innovation and development platform designed and led, encourage and support the integration of industrial design and technology culture, integrate with business mode, integrate with related industries, and promote the design upgrading, industrial upgrading and economic pformation of our province.
This year, the costume design competition takes the theme of "innovation, integration and promotion" as the design theme. Combined with the actual situation of garment industry development in our province, the sub industry area of the clothing industry cluster in different parts of the province has been set up, and combined with the cultural activities of various places, 9 competitions have been launched in the 4 sub divisions of the Guangzhou comprehensive competition area, Zhuhai sub district, Yuzhou leisure sportswear sub district and the big brown knitting division. Altogether 116 groups of competitors have 928 entries.
Xintang Town, as one of the competition sub districts, specially held the 2014 "governor Cup" costume design competition report on the exhibition during the current cowboy Festival. At the same time, the organizers also organized the excellent cowboys and designers in the province to participate in the presentation, and showed the cultural connotation of the healthy spirit, vitality, romance and natural passion of the cowboy industry to the whole province and even the whole country.
Xintang is a famous "Chinese denim clothing town". It is also a famous hometown of cowboys and a national demonstration base for upgrading and pformation. There are nearly ten thousand denim clothing and related enterprises in Xintang Town, involving nearly more than 30 industries. Hundreds of thousands of cowboy practitioners have more than 1000 registered Jeans Brands, with a daily production capacity of about 3000000.
Xintang denim clothing products sell well all over China, and are exported to dozens of countries and regions such as Russia, the United States, the European Union, South Africa and so on. For many years, in the international industry, they have the reputation of "cowboy watching China and Chinese Cowboys watching Xintang".
Xintang cowboys have deep accumulation and unique characteristics both in economic efficiency and in cowboy culture. Xintang cowboy Festival has become the most important annual event of Xintang since its first launch in 2002.
In 2013, the Xintang cowboy Festival changed the way to do the festival. For the first time, the "Canton Fair of cowboy industry" - "China Xintang international cowboy fair" (New rendezvous) was first established. The government leaders, business celebrities, cowboy enterprises, and domestic and foreign purchasers nearly 10000 people gathered in the 2013 Xintang ox festival to jointly upgrade and pform Xintang cowboy industry and create new business opportunities for Xintang cowboys.
