5 Batches Of Imported Garments In Zhuhai Were Found To Be Unqualified As International Brands.

Recently, the staff of Wanchai Office of the Zhuhai inspection and Quarantine Bureau carried out the second stage supervision and spot check work on the import and export commodities outside the catalogue according to the unified deployment of the AQSIQ.

Among them, 8 batches of imported clothing products and 2 batches of imported electrical goods were selected in the market circulation field.

A total of 5 batches of imported garments were found to be internationally renowned brands.

The test results showed that the import clothing failed mainly because of fiber content and label failed, and failed to correctly mark the implementation standard of the product, which was not in line with our national standard requirements for imported garments.

According to introducing, the fiber content of import and export textile and clothing has always been a relatively high rate of unqualified clothing detection, mainly manifested in the range of fiber content exceeding the allowable range, and more or more fiber components.

Here, the inspection and quarantine staff of Wanchai reminded consumers that when purchasing imported garments, they should purchase goods with Chinese identification and clearly marked information, and remind importing clothing dealers to grasp the provisions of China's technical regulations and standards, and put forward relevant quality and label requirements to suppliers when purchasing. When importing products, they need authoritative inspection departments' quality inspection reports, conduct regular inspection and certification of quality and safety items of imported products, conduct a qualified assessment of suppliers, provide consumers with goods that are in line with China's national standards, so that people can see clearly and distinguish clearly, and buy clothes that are reassuring and satisfactory.

Recently, the Guizhou provincial inspection and Quarantine Bureau revealed that the Bureau conducted spot checks on the import and export commodities from the 23 batch of legal inspection catalogues from October 2014 to February 2015, and found 11 batches of substandard products.

Of the 19 batches, 9 batches of samples were disqualified and the rate of failure was 47.37%.

The spot checks involved three categories of imported clothing, imported brake pads, and export food products, with an unqualified rate of 47.83%. Compared with the first spot checks from May 2014 to August, the failure rate increased significantly.

Except for 1 batches of imported brake pads and 1 batches of exported small appliances, the remaining 9 batches of substandard products were all imported garments sold on the market.

The results of spot checks showed that the unqualified items of imported garments were mainly concentrated in the content of the ingredients, which were inconsistent with the labels, and had no Chinese identification and application.

It shows that there is a general lack of awareness of the import clothing dealers' mandatory standards for clothing in China.
