Nepal was hit by a strong earthquake on the 25 day, triggering avalanche in the Mount Qomolangma area, and tore up and buried part of tents in the base camp of the mountaineers. At least 17 people were killed and 61 were injured.
Rescue operations started on the morning of 26, and multiple helicopters pferred heavy casualties.
Gyanendra Shrestha, spokesman for Nepal's Ministry of culture, tourism and civil aviation, said the number of victims could continue to rise.
On the spot, hiding from the earthquake, escaping from the tent and finding the "snow wall" pressed.
The avalanche survivor described the horror scene at the time: the crashing snow and snow roared through the nearby kelp glacier and pounced on the southern side of Mount Everest.
Azim Afif, a leader of a mountaineering team at Technological University of Malaysia, said his mountaineering team was waiting for lunch in the tent. Suddenly, the table and the surrounding items began to shake.
When he ran out, he found a "snow wall" pressing down, and he heard the Sherpas guide calling people to escape.
The mountaineering team slept in a large tent on the evening of 25, and made sure that no matter what happened, we were all together.
Some survivors said the treatment of the wounded was chaotic and the survivors were still worried about aftershocks and landslides.
Avalanche began 25 days from a few kilometers outside Mount Everest, an elevation of about 7000 meters, and headed for Mount Everest headquarters.
The main camp is located near the main road leading to Mount Everest. There are at least 30 tents. A large number of climbers, guides and porters are stationed there to prepare for the summit.
At present, strong aftershocks have triggered a series of avalanche.
Ang Sherpa, chairman of Nepal Mountaineering Association, said 26 days ago that the injured climbers had been pferred to a nearby hospital by helicopter in the morning. However, the low visibility and poor communication of the clouds affected more helicopter rescue.
Reuters later reported that helicopters carrying 15 climbers arrived in Kathmandu.
As the weather improved, another 6 helicopters flew to the base camp.
Sherpa said that 100 camps and guides were all safe at Camp 1 and camp 2 above the base camp, but they could not retreat because of the avalanche blocking the downhill road leading to the camp.
Steve Moffat, the guide and coordinator of an adventure Association in New Zealand, said: "the priority now is to take them to the base camp. We do not know if it is possible for them to retreat through the laminor glacier or to bring them out by helicopter."
Sherpa is worried that there may be a large number of climbers trapped in other sections leading to the summit.
Nepal's 26 strong aftershocks triggered a series of avalanche. There are no reports of casualties.
