According to the latest report of the third quarter of the previous fiscal year as of March 31 issued by the company, Esprit Global Revenue fell to HK $4.51 billion from HK $6.052 billion in the same period of the previous year, representing a decrease of 12.2% in local currency terms (25.5% in Hong Kong dollar terms), slightly narrowed compared with 13.2% in the first half of the fiscal year, and same store sales decreased by 8.2% year-on-year. In addition, revenue in the Asia Pacific region increased by 1.1% in local currency terms, but decreased by 3.3% in Hong Kong dollar terms to HK $831 million. Retail sales increased by 2% in local currency terms on a year-on-year basis, due to improved logistics support, improved store supply, and strategic promotions during the Chinese New Year holiday and even in all Asian markets.
