Because of the strong export oriented nature of the industry, many garment enterprises in Tonglu started to sell as foundries.

With the depression of international economic situation and the decline of labor cost advantage in China, OEM has not been sustainable. Many enterprises realize that it is urgent to create their own brands and upgrade them.

Hu Xiaoming, general manager of Tonglu the Fuchun River weaving Group Co., Ltd., said that the current manpower cost in China has no advantage compared with that in Southeast Asia. Therefore, enterprises should pform their products from low-grade products to middle and high grade products, and adjust their product structure to form a small batch, multi style and high-grade structure.
