Especially in the past 25 years, the rise of other low-cost countries markets affected the development of Croatia's domestic textile industry, and the number of textile workers decreased year by year. Now, about 21 thousand people are engaged in textile and garment industry, and the overall unemployment rate is as high as 19%.

At present, there are 4 large textile enterprises in Croatia, the other are small and medium enterprises, mostly concentrated in the northern region.

Many textile enterprises have also created their own brands and have been doing OEM for other world famous brands.

In view of the present situation of Croatia's textile industry and its future development needs, the head of the Federation of Croatia entrepreneurs said that Chinese enterprises are very much welcome to invest and cooperate.

People also said that the Chinese enterprises investing in Croatia can enjoy various preferential policies in the country: Tax enterprises, foreign enterprises in Croatia can apply for 5 years' tax exemption, part of them can be paid at the lowest standard, and the cost of production will be lower than that of other European Union countries. The cost of water and electricity in Croatia will be 1.2 euros / cubic meter, and the electricity consumption will be 0.12~0.13 euro / degree; especially preferential land policies and low land prices will be attractive for foreign investment, the lowest 10~20 euro / square meter, or about 44000 yuan per mu. In terms of labor force, the local labor force price is much lower than the EU average level, and the textile industry's per capita wage is 420 euro / month, 5 days a week, 1 days working 8 hours, and rotation system. At the same time, it is the responsibility.

During the interview, Yang Zhaohua also introduced the situation of China's home textile industry and China Textile Association to Croatia. According to Chinese customs statistics, in 2014, the export volume of China's home textile products was about 42 billion dollars, and sales volume was about 800 billion yuan.

The main exporters of Chinese textile products are mainly in the United States, Japan and countries in Europe and Southeast Asia, and this year's exports to Russia have also increased.

The China Home Textile Association aims at serving home textile enterprises. At this stage, it is committed to the recycling of home textile products, and has achieved success in the recycling of pure cotton fabrics. At present, this technology is being vigorously promoted.

Yang Zhaohua said that the cost of China's production industry has increased year by year, and many Chinese enterprises are very interested in cooperating with Croatia.

After the visit, members of the Chinese textile delegation agreed that the localization of the products will greatly enhance the competitiveness of Chinese textile products. Croatia and its surrounding areas have great investment potential and advantages, especially through the convenience and advantages of their EU Member States.
