What Is Philipp Plein Insulting To China?
Because an apology letter from the German fashion brand Philipp Plein on the "insult to China" incident, micro-blog exploded again during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, and fashion bloggers were standing in line.
The most famous example of an insult scandal is that John Galliano 2011 published a "discrimination against the Jews" after being drunk in the bar, and was dismissed by Dior, and even once expelled from the fashion world.
But as to whether Philipp Plein is really on the line or to insult China, you can keep your own views.
The whole story starts 8 years ago.
In 2007, Philipp Plein produced a number of T-shirts, printed on the back of the T-shirt "F-U-C-K You China, Manufactured in Europa, Produced and designed designed" (China, Europe, manufacturing and Design), printed on the front left side of the clothes is a Chinese clown.
The Philipp Plein spokesman later explained to the Deutsche horn reporter that the shirts had only produced 100 pieces at a price of 49.5 euros. The original intention was to express the trend of "do not want to go with the stream and join in the production of cheap fashion and clothing".
Because of the small number of T-shirts, they are sold only in the German buyer's KULT store.
Philipp Plein in 2007 has not yet entered China, so this matter has not caused much attention in China.
8 years later, it was turned out again because Philipp Plein is expanding its plan in China - in 2015, in Shanghai's Golden State IFC, Hangzhou Tower, Beijing.

And so on, opened 8 stores.
It's easy to understand why the fashion bloggers and fashion editors are standing. It's easy to understand that earning our money is still scolding us.
The influx of negative reviews allowed

Official micro-blog had to shut down its comment function in May 22nd.
Many people are actually not familiar with Philipp Plein.
The brand name of the German designer Philipp Plein, founded in 1998, is famous for its rock and roll style. The skeleton jacket is its most famous design.
In fact, Philipp Plein never lacks all kinds of words and deeds and advertising plans.
In 2013, Philipp Plein's advertising blockbuster was pgender Lea T and a pair of kissing twins, and another erotic photographer, Terry Richardson, who had been molassed by models, was among them.

Under pressure, in June 19th, the founder of Philipp Plein released an apology statement on official micro, saying that the T-shirt "integrated into rock spirit and humor, will never have any intention of slander and insult China. It's just a satire for imitation."
The full text of the letter of apology:
Recently, there are rumors on the Internet trying to imply that Philipp Plein is an anti China brand, or even a racist.
A statement on the matter is now expected to restore the truth.
I have visited China many times, and I have great respect for the gentle, friendly and optimistic Chinese culture and the Chinese people. I believe in China's very potential development background and prove it through my own investment in China.
In the field of fashion, designers sometimes design products that break through and innovate, hoping to guide people to observe and think about the world through different perspectives.
As far as Philipp Plein is concerned, we integrate into rock spirit and humor.
To this end, we decided to produce a controversial product 8 years ago to protest against the growing phenomenon of imitation.
We never have any intention of denigrating and insulting China.
It's just a satire for imitation, that's all.
Of course, aside from the above Beijing, I am also deeply aware that such words can cause misunderstanding and thus offend the Chinese people. I deeply apologize for this.
I have the highest respect for China and the Chinese people, and I hope you can gradually understand my brand.
I have absolute confidence in the company's investment in China. I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to the customers and partners who have been supporting Philipp Plein.
This is a salute.

However, judging from the reaction of all sides, the statement clearly did not receive any positive effect, but made things worse. The statement was accused of being inhonest, and Philipp Plein's signature was also widely regarded as a kneeling long braid Qing Dynasty.
