In the hospital, the woman told the doctor that she wore a very tight pair of jeans all day.

Thomas Kimber, a neurologist at Royal Adelaide hospital in Adelaide University, Australia, said in an interview with Business Insider.
He treated the woman and was one of the authors who wrote the research report.

Medical tests showed that the amount of creatine kinase in the woman exceeded the standard - this is a sign of muscle damage, and if it is not treated for a long time, it may even damage the kidneys.
Luckily, her kidney function is normal.
CT scan showed that her muscle mass was low, which was also a sign of muscle damage.
Other tests showed that the two main nerves (the common peroneal nerve and the tibial nerve) in this woman's leg were not functioning properly.
The woman was able to recover after having enough salt water and sufficient rest, Kimber said.
Is it possible for anyone to get hurt?
This type of calf nerve injury usually comes from the oppression at the top of the leg bone, such as long squat.
Researchers believe that in the case of the woman, wearing tight jeans increases the pressure on the legs and makes the situation worse.
"If she wears loose trousers, her leg muscles can expand outward.
But because wearing tight jeans, her swollen muscles can only constract nerves and blood vessels.
Kimber explains.
There are also a few reports that point out that wearing tight pants is an example of compression of groin and numbness of the legs, but this is the first case to clearly point out that wearing tight jeans will damage specific nerves and muscles.
Fortunately, there is no medical report yet.
