2015 Business Fair Opens In Urumqi, Xinjiang

In line with the principle of "less, refined and specialized", according to the characteristics of Xinjiang's local industrial structure, the 2015 business fair was set up.

Exhibition, agricultural products exhibition two main exhibitions, Xinjiang wine exhibition, jewelry and jade handicrafts exhibition and three overseas exhibition.

The exhibition area is 40 thousand square meters.

It covers five major categories and 32 events, covering important events, industry forums and buyers' meetings, domestic trade and investment promotion activities, foreign trade and investment promotion and other activities.

The textile and garment industry plays an important role in the 2015 business fair.

The exhibition area is located in the "east alliance West and industry landing", with an exhibition area of 12200 square meters, occupying two main pavilions of 4 and 5.

In addition, the silk road China knitted Summit Forum, Taiwan textile press conference, Xinjiang Shaanxi textile and garment industry innovation and development exchange seminar, Akesu region development textile and garment industry promotion promotion conference, 2015 cotton textile Innovation Technology Xinjiang seminar and so on, a series of activities will attract the eyes of the industry.

This is undoubtedly closely related to the strategic deployment of the country.

In May last year, the central Xinjiang work forum decided to implement the national strategy of developing the textile and garment industry to promote employment in Xinjiang. It plans to promote the employment of 1 million people through the development of the textile and apparel industry chain in ten years or so.

In January this year, the general office of the State Council specially issued the "guiding opinions on supporting the development of Xinjiang's textile and garment industry to promote employment" (issued by the State Council [2015] 2), and clearly pointed out that Xinjiang's development of the textile and garment industry is not only the important content of constructing the core area of the Xinjiang Silk Road Economic Belt, but also an important measure to optimize the economic structure of Xinjiang, increase employment opportunities, expand employment scale, promote stable employment of Xinjiang, especially the ethnic groups in southern Xinjiang, and accelerate the process of new urbanization. It has great significance for promoting social stability and long-term stability in Xinjiang.

Akesu Textile City, Korla Economic Development Zone, Kuitun Dushanzi economic development zone and other key textile and garment parks have become truly "big construction sites". Tens of thousands of staff are in full swing and are working hard day and night.

Statistics show that in 2014, the fixed assets investment of Xinjiang textile and garment industry was 9 billion 615 million yuan, up 76%.

In the first half of this year, investment reached 7 billion 50 million yuan, an increase of 187% over the same period last year.

The whole year plans to invest 27 billion 600 million yuan.

Last year and the first half of this year, Xinjiang textile and garment enterprises and cooperatives increased more than 7 jobs.

Liang Yong, Deputy Secretary General of the people's Government of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, said that the autonomous region is now taking the strategy of "taking steps step by step, grasping both hands and three pronged efforts" to promote the development of Xinjiang's textile and garment industry.

"Step by step" means taking the development of cotton spinning industry as the breakthrough point, taking the development of printing and dyeing as a breakthrough, focusing on the breakthrough of clothing home textiles, and implementing different strategies at different stages.

"Grasping both hands" is not only for industrial agglomeration development, but also for industrial cluster development.

Cluster development is focused on Akesu, Korla and Shihezi. The cluster development is mainly based on county and township development in southern Xinjiang, so as to facilitate local employment in the near future.

"Three pronged approach" is to expand a number of key parks, cultivate a number of characteristic industrial clusters, and support a number of excellent enterprises.

In the past two years, the China Federation of textile industry has signed a memorandum of understanding with the relevant government departments of many countries along the silk road.

In the next few years, the industry should take Xinjiang as the core and jointly develop the textile and garment industry with the surrounding countries, especially the Central Asian countries.
