The following is the analysis of the current situation of China's textile and garment industry in 2015.

1, from the macro level, consumption growth in the first half of 2015 has further slowed down, in May, the total retail sales of consumer goods increased by 10.2% over the same period last year, 0.3 percentage points slower than the previous month, and CPI rose 1.2% in May, showing the first slowdown in the year.

2, from the meso level, the total retail sales of Enterprises above Designated Size in 2015 continued downward, from 9.75% in December 2014 to 6.73% in May 2015, and the decline was 10.10% more than that in May 2014.
The nominal growth rate of clothing and footwear showed a downward trend year-on-year, with the growth rate of 12.50% in May 2015.
3. In May 2015, the retail sales of clothing commodities of hundreds of key large retail enterprises increased by 6.1% over the same period last year, the growth rate was 0.7 percentage points higher than that of the same period last year, and 50 key large areas in June.

Retail sales increased by 1.7% over the same period last year, while the growth rate has picked up compared with that in April, but it was unchanged from the 1.7% growth rate in the same period last year.
4, the export data of textile and apparel are rather weak.
Affected by the slow pace of world economic recovery and the sluggish international market demand, textile and garment exports showed a downward trend for the three consecutive month since March, but the decline has narrowed gradually.
In May 2015, the total value of textile exports (textiles, yarns, fabrics and articles) amounted to US $10 billion 45 million, down 3.9% compared with the same period last year. The export value of garments (clothing and accessories) reached US $13 billion 347 million, down 8% from the same period last year.
Affected by the sharp decline in export data in March, the total export volume of textile apparel in China decreased slightly in the 1-5 months compared with the same period last year.
The total amount of textile exports (textiles, yarns, fabrics and articles) in January 2015 -5 amounted to US $43 billion 446 million, representing a decrease of 1.3% compared with the same period last year. The total exports of clothing (clothing and accessories) amounted to US $59 billion 590 million, representing a decrease of 5.1% over the same period last year.
5, brand clothing: retail sales are expected to turn better in the second half of the year.
In 2015 1-5, the clothing sales volume of Enterprises above designated size increased by 11% year-on-year, and the growth rate increased by 0.39 percentage points over the first quarter, an increase of 1.3 percentage points over the same period last year.
In May, the clothing sales volume of Enterprises above Designated Size reached 12.5% year-on-year, representing a 0.8 percentage point increase over the same period last year, representing a 1.6 percentage point increase over the 10.9% year-on-year growth rate in April, showing a steady recovery.
In the first quarter of 2015, the retail sales volume of 50 key large retail enterprises increased by 1.5% over the same period last year, and the growth rate increased by 1.4 percentage points over the same period in 2014. In March, the retail sales of 50 key large retail enterprises increased by 0.6% over the same period last year. The growth rate slowed down 1.5 percentage points over the same period last year, down 1.2 percentage points from 1-2 months in 2015.
In the first quarter, the retail sales of clothing commodities increased by 3.5% over the same period last year, and the growth rate increased by 4.5 percentage points compared to the same period last year. In March, the retail sales of clothing decreased by 4.3% compared with the same period last year. The growth rate dropped by 7.8 percentage points compared with the same period last year, down 10.5 percentage points from 1-2 months in this year.
In May, apparel retail sales grew by 4.2% year-on-year, and the growth rate was 2.8 percentage points higher than that in April, but 0.1 percentage points slower than the same period last year.
