Exports Of Clothing And Clothing Accessories Declined Slightly In Hongkong In August

The external merchandise trade statistics released by the census and Statistics Department of Hongkong showed that in August 2015

The value of total exports and imports decreased year by year, down 6.1% and 7.4% respectively.

In the first eight months of 2015 compared with the same period in 2014, the value of most major exports of goods decreased, especially "clothing and

In August 2015, compared with the same month in 2014, the value of most major exports of goods decreased, especially in "office machines and automatic data processing equipment" (HK $4 billion 500 million, down 11.8%).

And clothing accessories "(HK $1 billion 700 million, down 10.1%) and" miscellaneous products (mainly including jewellery, gold ornaments and silverware ") (HK $1 billion 300 million, or 6.6%).

Over the same period, the value of imports of most major imports decreased, especially in terms of "oil, petroleum products and by products" (HK $16 billion 800 million, down 24.6%), "office machines and automatic data processing equipment" (HK $14 billion 800 million, or 6.1%) and "non-metallic mineral products" (HK $13 billion 300 million, or 9.7%).

However, the value of imports increased by category including "communications, recording and audio equipment and instruments" (increased by HK $51 billion 500 million, up 12.3%).
