As early as 1924, Marie-LouiseLesage and AlbertMichonet worked together to embroider embroidery for the then fashion designer. In 1949, the 20 year old FrancoisLesage took over the family business after her father's death. Her superb technology was favored by Chanel, and she was appointed embroidery supplier for many years. In 2002, Lesage was named by Chanel Luo and became one of the seven brands of workshops.

Apart from serving Chanel for the parent company, Lesage has also embroidered many famous brands so far.

Every month, about a month before opening show, Chanel will send the sketches and composition to Lesage. Then Lesage will provide 30-40 designs for KarlLagerfeld selection.

It will take about 300 hours to embroider the design on the skirt. The process of making the embroidery is never simple until the model is ready to open the show. Lesage embroidery and KarlLagerfeld will still make changes to the embroidery. Lesage has long been accustomed to the habit of KarlLagerfeld.
