Teach You Knowledge Of Knitted Fabrics

Knitted fabric is different from woven fabric. It can be divided into weft knitted fabric and warp knitted fabric according to different production methods.

No matter what knitted fabric, its coil is the most basic unit.

The structure of the coil is different, and the way of coil combination is different. It forms a variety of knitted fabrics, including three main categories: basic organization, changing organization and flower color organization.

1. basic organization

(1) plain stitch knitted fabric with the simplest structure is made up of a continuous coil of single string. As shown in the left picture below, there are different appearances on the positive and negative sides of the fabric.

The organization has a large lateral extension, but it can be easily curled and scattered. It is widely used in underwear, garments and socks.

(2) rib fabric is a double-sided organization, which is made up of vertical coils of front coil and longitudinal coil. According to the number of vertical and horizontal configurations, the rib and different names and properties are different.

Rib fabric has good elasticity, it is mainly used for all kinds of underwear products and clothing parts requiring tension, such as hem, cuffs and necklines and elastic shirts.

(3) double reverse double double side organization is also called "Pearl weaving". As shown in the left picture below, it is arranged alternately by the horizontal alignment of the front coil and the reverse coil, which can form concave convex stripes or patterns with different combinations.

The organization has the characteristics of vertical, horizontal extension and elasticity, and is used for sweaters, sportswear or children's clothing.

2. change organization

The changing organization is made up of a coil of one or more basic tissues arranged vertically between adjacent coils of a basic organization, such as the commonly used double rib tissue.

Double rib organization is also called double reverse structure. It is made up of two ribbed tissues, and the front side coils are formed on the positive and negative sides of the fabric.

It is widely used in underwear and sportswear.

3. flower color organization

Weft knitted fabrics have various colors.

They are formed on the basis of basic organizations or changing organizations, using different kinds of yarns to weave different structures of coils according to certain rules, such as liner structure, ring structure, pineapple tissue, corrugated structure, plush tissue, lining weft weave and so on.

These organizations have been widely used in clothing, towels, blankets, children's wear and sportswear.

The basic structure of warp knitted fabric consists of chain stitch, flat fabric and satin weave.

(1) the chain organization of each yarn on the same needle is always called the chain organization. The threads formed by each warp have no connection, and there are two kinds of opening and closing.

Because of its small longitudinal tension and not easy to curl, it is often used as the basic organization of products such as shirting cloth, cloth and so on.

(2) flat warps are arranged on each warp to lay yarn on two adjacent needles. Each coil is made up of adjacent warp yarns in turn and consists of two horizontal columns to form a complete organization.

This kind of tissue has a certain longitudinal and lateral extensibility, and the curling property is not significant. It is often used in inner and outer clothing with other tissues.

2. changing organizations and other organizations

In warp knitted fabrics, there are many tissues besides warp, warp and skew. These tissues are widely used in underwear, coat, sweater and so on.

Weft knitted fabric is a yarn that is fed from weft to the knitting machine. Each yarn is woven into a horizontal column in a certain order. Warp knitted fabric is knitted by using a set of parallel warps arranged on all the working needles of the knitting machine at the same time, and each yarn forms a coil in each row of the coil.
