China Market: Catalyst To Drive Global Chemical Development
Over the years, China International Leather Exhibition has been a platform for the world's leading chemical suppliers to launch new products. This year is no exception. Recently, the nineteenth China International Leather Exhibition (ACLE) was held in Shanghai.
A total of 1167 exhibitors and 19 exhibitors from 35 countries and regions, including China, Brazil, Germany, Italy, Korea, Spain, Turkey and the United States, were invited to the grand event.
Among them, the exhibition area of the United States, Italy, Australia and other countries increased by 7%, 21% and 24% respectively.
The downturn in the industry highlights the strategic value of trade shows. Compared with last year, the number of exhibitors and buyers has increased in varying degrees. The number of exhibitors has increased by 11.8% over the same period last year, especially among Chinese enterprises.
On the first day, the number of visiting buyers increased by 5% compared with that of last year, while the number of visiting buyers in China increased by 8% over the same period last year.
The total number of buyers visited 3 days slightly increased, eventually exceeding 23000.
It is worth noting that the number of Chinese buyers has increased by 3%, mainly concentrated in leather provinces such as Zhejiang, Guangdong and Fujian. These buyers with clear purchase intention and ability are powerful guarantee for the effectiveness of the exhibition.

The collective participation of Brazil leather company originated from Brazil Leather Association (CICB) and Brazil export and Investment Promotion Bureau (APEX-Brasil), a cooperative project -- Brazil leather.
The project has greatly promoted the export growth of leather products in Brazil, and leather exports in Brazil have increased by 263% since 2000.
Jos FernandoBello, executive chairman of CICB, said it expects the trip to create a $200 million deal for the leather industry in Brazil in the coming year.
Last year, the figure was 150 million dollars.
There are 310 leather factories in Brazil, with an annual output of 45 million and exported to more than 90 countries worldwide. China, Hongkong, Italy and the United States are the main buyers, and the largest importer of China's semi finished leather. This year, 1~6 exports of semi-finished leather to China increased by 9.2%.
Brazil leather accounts for 11% of the country's trade surplus in 2015, and China is, of course, one of the most powerful contributors.
As one of the largest tanneries in the world, 38% of Brazil's JBS exports are sold to the Chinese market, and China International Leather Exhibition is their main business platform.

In this exhibition, BASF has brought the most advanced leather finishing agent and special polymer specially made for the automotive industry, which can significantly improve the tensile strength of leather.
A large number of visitors gathered in front of the Fenice booth of Italy chemical company. They stopped there and praised Waterstain leather finishing agent.
Waterstain series of products are waterborne liquid dyed emulsions. They are revolutionary products for finishing and dyeing of green leather. They are suitable for shoes, leather goods, garment making and tanning, and can achieve natural and lasting two color effect by dyed dark color first and then coated with color emulsion.
According to Fenice's marketing manager, "we have participated in China International Leather Exhibition for several years. Last year, many Chinese and overseas buyers came to visit our booth. This year, the number of buyers increased by 20%."
Stahl is exhibiting a new primer series Magic2800-MLSeries in PielColor, a subsidiary of China. The Holland enterprise Smit&zoon has brought the finishing products including the latest UNIVERSAL and UNIVERSALLC pigments, and German leather manufacturer Zschimmer hwarz also has a new tanning and fatliquoring system.
The leather industry of China in pition is interested in these leather products. Mr. Sun, who is from the import and Export Department of Chongqing Minfeng Chemical Industry Co., Ltd., obviously has a good trip. "I mainly look for dyestuffs and water-based auxiliaries. This exhibition has better products than expected. Now it has succeeded in reaching an agreement with a supplier from Taiwan.

The industry's top event includes the whole leather industry supply chain, from raw leather to billet, high-grade materials, finished leather, chemical products, machinery and so on.
