Guangdong Children'S Clothing Failed Rate Of 51% Bear B Qi On The "Black List"

The product inspection and Research Institute has conducted spot checks on the quality of children's clothing and infant clothing products in circulation areas in the province. In the 6 cities (districts) of Shenzhen, Foshan, Heyuan, Zhongshan, Zhaoqing and Shunde, 200 children and infant clothing products from 34 distribution units were selected, involving 116 production enterprises.

After examination, 102 of them failed, and the unqualified rate was 51%.

Provincial Industry and Commerce Department said that compared with the previous year's random inspection, the sampling rate of children and infants clothing products had dropped, from 55% in 2014-2015 to 51% in 2015-2016.

The distribution sites for this sampling include shopping malls, supermarkets and individuals.

Among them, 63 children and infant clothing were selected from 16 self-employed households, 80 children and infant clothing were selected in 10 shopping malls, 57 children and infant clothing were selected in 8 supermarkets.

Judging from the results of the inspection, the highest rate of unqualified children and infant clothing sold in the sampling survey was 71.4%, and the disqualification rates of supermarkets and shopping malls were 43.9% and 40% respectively.

Guangzhou children's clothing pH value is not qualified

The quality problems found in this sampling inspection include the detection of decomposable carcinogenic aromatic amine dyes in a few children and infant clothing items, formaldehyde content above the standard limit value, and extractable heavy metal content which does not meet the standard requirements.

4 batches of children's clothing are found to be decomposed carcinogenic aromatic amine dyes, including "little bear B Qi Bear Best" produced by Foshan Dong Xuan Clothing Co., Ltd., a small coat and Huzhou homestead Garments Co., Ltd.'s "Homestead" jacket.

It is reported that decomposable aromatic amine dyes are dyes that can partly decompose aromatic amines under certain conditions.

Wearing clothing containing such dyes may cause physical changes in children and infants.

In addition, the formaldehyde content of "Dobito" baby clothing produced by Shantou bainer maternal and child products Industrial Co., Ltd. exceeds the standard; the pH value of "babababy pat babe" produced by Zengcheng Baba babe children's wear factory is not qualified.

It is reported that if there is excess formaldehyde in children's clothing, it will cause harm to children and infants through skin and respiratory tract. PH value is too high or too low, which will damage the skin's surface balance and cause skin allergy or induce infection.
