The overall stable export situation is mainly due to the low unit price, stable quality, high market share, low price fluctuation of raw materials and market demand. The export market is dominated by Southeast Asian countries, and also involves some African countries and developed countries such as Asia and Europe.

This year, Philippines exceeded Bangladesh in eighth months and became the largest export market for cotton fabrics in China. The number of cotton fabrics exported to Philippines increased by three digits compared with the same period last year.

According to customs statistics, the total export volume of cotton textiles in the first eight months was 16 billion 560 million US dollars, down 0.58% from the same period last year, and the total import volume was 4 billion 210 million US dollars, a decrease of 24.7% compared with the same period last year.

The policy of stable export is closely related.

With the implementation of the pformation and upgrading of processing trade and the promotion of trade facilitation, the enthusiasm of textile enterprises in foreign trade production has been enhanced.

Due to seasonal reasons, the cost of cotton cloth has increased, especially since May.

The increase in prices has led to a rise in cotton yarn prices, while foreign customers have not accepted a substantial increase in prices. This has led to the pressure on export orders for cotton fabrics in June and the sharp decline in export volume.

Despite the rebound in exports of cotton fabrics in August, after the fourth quarter of this year, the pressure on export of all cotton fabrics is still greater.

Moreover, the G20 summit has affected the production and logistics of many factories in Xiaoshan. Therefore, the export volume of cotton fabrics is expected to slow down in the short term.

With the new cotton coming on the market, the domestic cotton prices are getting warmer. However, the prices of the latter products are weak, and the downstream enterprises are cautious. As the price of raw materials gradually spread to yarn and fabric, and the arrival of the fourth quarter textile orders season, to a certain extent, it will stimulate the demand for downstream travel, and the competitiveness of domestic cotton textile exports will also be restored. It is estimated that the cotton textile industry will continue to run smoothly in the whole year.

In the main import and export products of cotton textiles, the import heat of cotton yarn decreased in the first eight months, and the total import cotton yarn was 1 million 297 thousand tons, representing a decrease of 19.3 percentage points compared with the same period last year.

Judging from the market entry of cotton yarn, Vietnam has surpassed India and Pakistan to become China's largest cotton yarn import market, accounting for about 1/3 of China's imported cotton yarn.

Cotton fabric is China's main export cotton textile. As of August, China's total exports of cotton fabrics 6 billion meters, an increase of 14.9% over the same period last year.
