In August 2015, with the approval of the provincial government, the Suzhou economic and Technological Development Zone added the brand name of the modern footwear industrial park.

The total planning area of Suzhou shoe city is 16.5 square kilometers, which is divided into four major functional areas, namely, shoe production area, production supporting area, Central Business District, and commercial and residential comprehensive zone.

Suzhou is located in the northernmost part of Anhui province. It has 4 counties, 1 districts and 9 provincial-level economic development zones at the junction of 15 cities and counties in Jiangsu, Shandong, Henan and Anhui provinces.

The total area of the city is 9787 square kilometers, with a total population of 6 million 500 thousand.

Suzhou is located in the economic and cultural convergence area of China's north and south, and the first area to undertake capital spillover and industrial pfer in the developed coastal areas of China.

In 2016, there were 15 new projects in shoe city, of which 14 were the first industrial projects, 1 were new and high-tech industries, and 10 new projects were put into operation, including 50 million yuan -1 billion yuan investment projects 4, 100 million yuan -3 billion yuan project 3; new signing of Heng Bang new material, Sheng Jia garment accessories, China Europe shoe industry, giant shoe industry, East China footwear industry, super God brothers dress, green step high-end women's shoes and other 17 items, the total investment of the project is 2 billion 265 million yuan.

At present, there are 20 shoe manufacturing industry chain projects, including Dongyi shoe industry technology pfer center, shoe city logistics park, Wenzhou Rui Hong leather, Wenzhou double shoe industry, Guangdong Liwan shoes industry, Dongguan HSBC shoe material market and so on, with a total investment of 1 billion 705 million yuan.
