Who Is The Behind The Curtain Of Outdoor Fashion?
According to the world clothing shoes and hat net, we ushered in the first joint series of Supreme and The North Face (TNF) in autumn and winter in 2007. Since then, the two cooperation relationship has never stopped.

It is the effort of The North Face, the global creative vice president of Peter Valles, to promote the latter's recognition.
Through his hands, many Holy Grail -Supreme, COMME des GAR ONS, sacai, Vans Vault and mastermind have been achieved.
After graduating from Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), Valles was immediately employed in J. Crew, but this relationship between guests and owners was not sustainable.
He quit his job and worked as an illustrator in a skateboard shop after being conscious of different brand ideas. He then went to FILA to engage in product technology design, and finally finally joined in the Nike auxiliary line series Nike ACG, which inspired him to create functional clothing.
During his Nike years, he participated in the cooperation plan of brand and Apple, and widened his vision of design.
Valles regards his work experience in Nike as a further education, together with the development of Red Bull, and so on. He has established his position as vice president of global North for The North Face.
He has lived in the West Bank for some time, deepened his interest in mountain climbing and shifted his career focus to outdoor products.

Originally this brave attempt mentality has been gradually formed from Valles in ACG.

Different from the criteria that are regarded as outdoor products by the outside world, for Nike, the word "outdoor" bears the meaning of "cool".

According to Valles, the perfect balance between function and aesthetics must be the Urban Collection of The North Face.
Inspired by the brand's Summit series, Urban Collection's products include TNF's new classic CRYOS jacket.
"We will improve the experimental products such as Mcmurdo," and try to infuse modern materials into Bomber coats.

With regard to the rising status of outdoor products in street fashion, Valles attributed to the trend of the whole trend. He said: "in the past, the definition of outdoors clothing was very narrow, and there was almost only one traditional practice and understanding, so that the problem of product simplification would come into being later.
But the boundary between outdoor products and fashion has begun to blur, and the ability of brands to break the boundaries has also grown larger.

Valles added that this is also his personal favorite joint venture plan except COMME des GAR ONS ONS, which is responsible for cooperation with Junya Watanabe.
Talking about trust, the brand's recent cooperation with Watanabe is also a good example.
Watanabe reproduces the brand and another signboard functional single product, Deconstructed Jacket, with recycled TNF bag materials, perfectly integrating the design concepts and features of both sides.

Valles said: "in terms of business strategy, we deliberately keep the production of PURPLE LABEL" below "level.

SUPREME X LOUIS VUITON FW17 COLLECTION
Supreme and Louis Vuitton are still in a state of difficulty until January this year.
From the perspective of fashion industry colleagues, Valles shared his view on cooperation in the next century.
"Insiders are not too surprised about the cooperation between the two brands.
Because fashion has always been the responsibility of breaking the old and building the new system at the social level. For this reason, a part of the industry is to cross these established boundaries and arouse public thinking.
Similarly, Valles believes that the cooperation between The North Face and COMME des GAR ONS will play a role in the former High Street fashion trend.
"To cooperate with Junya and let the team and I reflect on how to integrate life into fashion, to some extent, he opened us up."
Valles applauded.
The focus of this joint series is on the practical functionality of TNF. Junya has applied the brand unique product design to the overall concept and retained the original story behind each single item.
In the past, no one would have thought that the trend followers would rush to buy a The North Face coat. No one would believe that the function of the machine used to help mountain climbing can also be fashionable.
