Home textile enterprises from products to services
From 2017 to April this year, the whole home textile industry developed steadily. Especially in the 1~4 months of this year, the main business revenue of the enterprises was increased by more than 6%, the export volume was over 9%, the bed products were more positive, the domestic sales exceeded 9%, and the export exceeded 8%, which was greatly improved compared with 2017.

At the meeting, Yang Zhaohua analyzed that from the annual reports of several listed companies in 2017 and the first quarter express in 2018, the opening of shops in 2017 was positive growth, which mainly benefited from the pulling effect of consumption upgrading.
Starting in 2012, bed products enterprises are facing market challenges and are on the decline all the way.
In this process, many enterprises have made product structure adjustment, channel adjustment, voluntarily turn off some low quality shops, increase investment in direct and high quality franchised stores, and more enterprises have been actively doing after-sale services in the past year, leaving products to service.
Yang Zhaohua said that after sales service is not only the pformation and upgrading of the brand itself, but also the increase of the stickiness of the customers and the enhancement of brand loyalty.
In the past 5 years, home textile enterprises have been constantly adjusting and actively implementing structural reforms on the supply side.
Through adjustment, enterprises have grasped some dividends brought about by the upgrading of consumption.
However, due to the increase of labor costs and factors of production, the profit growth rate of home textile industry was lower than that of main revenue last year, which first appeared in 2017 and remained unchanged until April 2018.
At present, the Sino US trade war is still going on. For this reason, Yang Zhaohua said that the downward trend of the trade war will have a great impact on the textile and home textile industry.
In the face of challenges, what should we do? He said that the new era has given the industry a new position. China's textile and garment home textile industry is not only a traditional industry, a livelihood industry, an industry with export comparative advantages, but more importantly, this industry is an innovation driven technology industry, a responsible green industry and a culture led fashion industry.
These 3 new positions not only point out the direction for the future development of the industry, but also enhance the home textile enterprises' self-knowledge of the industry: although home textile is a traditional and labor-intensive industry, it is closely related to science and technology. In the future, enterprises should strive to realize pformation and upgrading of industries and enterprises with technology.

As the host of this bed product conference, Tongcheng, Anhui has formed six dominant industries: printing and packaging, machinery manufacturing, plastic processing, home textile and clothing, building materials chemical industry, and agricultural and sideline products deep processing.
At the meeting, Li Zhiying delivered a speech and said that the home textile industry is one of the six pillar industries in Tongcheng. As early as the beginning of reform and opening up, Tongcheng has more than 30 production and processing enterprises, including feather processing, feather quilt and home textiles.
After more than 30 years of development, home textile industry cluster has been formed with Hongrun as the leader. There are more than 100 enterprises engaged in home textile industry in the whole city, including 23 large-scale enterprises, 12 thousand employees in the whole industry, and the home textile industry accounts for 30% of the total industrial output value of the whole city.
Li Zhiying said, at present, Tongcheng's home textile industry is in a critical period of accelerating pformation and upgrading. The Tongcheng municipal government will continue to increase support for the home textile industry, promote the pformation of the domestic textile industry, increase the growth mode, create famous brands, achieve high quality development, and support leading enterprises such as Hongrun to become bigger and stronger, and make Tongcheng a leading and internationally well-known home textile industry.

The release of the "Bedding Industry Development Research Report" has attracted widespread attention in the industry. The report has been completed for over two years, and a model of the size of the bedding industry has been set up in the first half of this year.
During the completion process, the Association conducted a lot of research, visited the enterprises and industrial clusters of the bed products industry, held many seminars with entrepreneurs and industry experts, and conducted several enterprise questionnaire surveys, which objectively reflected the development status and characteristics of the bed products industry.

At the meeting, Wei Qixiong explained the report from 4 aspects: the core industry, market size, raw material consumption and capacity distribution of bedding items. The content of the report is based on data in 2016.
In terms of scale, bedding accounts for half of the entire home textile industry. According to the statistics of enterprises, the number of bedding products accounts for more than 50% of the whole household textile, no matter the number of households, total assets, main business income or total profit.
Export data in 2016 showed that bedding was $11 billion 600 million, much higher than the total sum of curtains, towels, carpets and textiles combined ($10 billion).

In addition, in 2016, the scale of China's export market for domestic and imported products was 400 billion yuan, of which the domestic market consumed 323 billion 100 million yuan, accounting for 80.8%, and exported 76 billion 900 million yuan, accounting for 19.2%.
As for bedding, apart from the consumption of household life, which is well known, it is also used in many social needs, such as hotels, tourism and pportation, education (schools, kindergartens), medical and health, social service institutions, disaster relief and relocation, armed police, group buying gifts and other consumption.
According to the survey and calculation, household consumption is the main domestic market, accounting for 78.9%. In addition, with the continuous improvement of the quality of life of residents in China, the demand for bedding products for hotels, tourism and pportation will further expand. Meanwhile, the quality and quantity of public welfare bedding products will also release the potential with the development of social welfare security.

In 2016, China's bed products industry exported 11 billion 566 million US dollars to 76 billion 900 million yuan.
The United States is China's largest export market for bed products, accounting for more than 30% of the total volume. The second and third places are the EU and Japan markets, which can account for 12.3% and 10.1%. The export market for bedding products is relatively concentrated, and the top three markets share more than half of the total.
In addition, the import of bedding products was 2 billion 300 million US dollars in 2016, an increase of 2.17% over the same period last year.

In the product structure, the total value of the product is slightly higher, and the core product is more fiber.
In the distribution of productivity, the eastern advantage is obvious, especially in Jiangsu.

The largest share of global home textiles exports is bedding, and China is the largest exporter of bedding products.

As a great textile country, China has a complete industrial chain and comparative advantage resources. Moreover, domestic brands such as Luo Lai life, fuanna and Meng Jie have intervened in the market earlier and have a high reputation and occupy a leading position in the market.
According to the statistics of the national key commercial enterprises in China, the top ten brands of bedding products and all kinds of products were all domestic brands in 2016, and no foreign brands were involved.


Wei Qixiong said that the bed products industry still faces some difficulties in the development process. First, industry concentration is still at a low level. Due to the wide market space and limited brand influence, the concentration of the home textile industry is not high, and the market competition is fierce.
The two is the low added value of products and relatively low level of profitability. The sale of four cotton sets on a large scale of market sales and online sales is only about 200 yuan.
The added value is generally not high, which affects the overall profit level of the industry. The main reason is that the entry threshold of the finished products enterprises is relatively low, and the industrial chain and market matching of the industrial clusters are complete. The initial production operators are easy to enter the bed products industry. Some small enterprises do not seek long-term interests, but only take into account the current interests. Dumping at low prices affects the market price level. Besides, low price handling of backlog stocks is another important factor affecting the market price level.
Three, technical equipment is lagging behind and comprehensive talents are scarce.
With the rapid development of the industry, the level of enterprise management and operation needs to be continuously improved. The level of technology and equipment needs to be accelerated and upgraded.
