After 23 years of development and construction, it has become one of the most stringent chemical parks in China, where most of the internationally renowned multinational chemical enterprises are gathered, the recycling economy is the most advanced, the industrial level is the most advanced, and the environmental protection management is the most stringent.


According to the introduction, Shanghai chemical industry zone is currently exploring the construction of world-class petrochemical industry base and gathering world-class enterprises. It has attracted BASF, COSCO, Huntsman, Suez, Mitsui chemical and other world-famous multinational companies to invest and build factories, and foreign capital accounts for 80%.


The Shanghai chemical industry zone aims to attract international high-end projects, and the park has several sets of advanced international level chemical installations. By the end of 2018, the total investment of the park has attracted 24 billion 970 million yuan, and the total investment in fixed assets has been RMB 122 billion 530 million yuan.
