Ren Hongbin, Assistant Minister of Commerce, pointed out that in 2018, China's total import and export volume reached a record high. It continued to maintain the status of the world's largest trading power and further enhanced its contribution to the national economy. The environment facing China's foreign trade development is becoming more and more complex and severe, with greater uncertainty and more risks. At the same time, achieving the goal of stabilizing and improving the quality of foreign trade is also based and conditional. The national business system should take the initiative and take the initiative to make efforts to complete the decisions and arrangements of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council on foreign trade work and celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of new China with excellent results. We must adhere to the general keynote of steady progress and steadily push forward the building of a trade power, and strive to promote stable and upgrading foreign trade, and insist on promoting the high quality development of foreign trade.

In addition, the director of the foreign trade division of the Ministry of Commerce recently talked about the operation of China's foreign trade in 1-2 months of 2019.

According to customs statistics, imports and exports were 4 trillion and 540 billion yuan in 1-2 months, up 0.7% from the same period (the same below). Among them, exports were 2 trillion and 430 billion yuan, an increase of 0.1%; imports of 2 trillion and 120 billion yuan, an increase of 1.5%; the surplus was 308 billion 680 million yuan, narrowing 8.7%. According to us dollar statistics, China's import and export value decreased by 3.9% in 662 billion 720 million months in 1-2 months. Of which, exports amounted to 353 billion 210 million US dollars, down 4.6%; imports 309 billion 510 million US dollars, down 3.1%; trade surplus 43 billion 700 million US dollars, down 13.6%.

From the international market layout, 1-2 months, China's exports to the main markets of the European Union, ASEAN, Japan and South Korea increased by 7.5%, 7%, 3.7% and 9.8% respectively. The total imports and exports of the "one belt and one way" countries increased by 1 trillion and 280 billion yuan, an increase of 2.4%, 1.7 percentage points higher than the overall growth rate, and 0.5 percentage points to 28.2% of the total value of foreign trade. China's exports and imports to the US decreased by 9.9% and 32.2% respectively.

From the perspective of business entities, 1-2 months, private enterprises exported 1 trillion and 210 billion yuan, an increase of 3.6%, accounting for 50% of the total value of exports. State owned enterprises exported 239 billion 590 million yuan, down 5.7%. Foreign invested enterprises exported 972 billion 790 million yuan, down 2.6%.

From the perspective of commodity structure, the export of mechanical and electrical products was 1 trillion and 420 billion yuan, a slight decrease of 0.4%, accounting for 58.3%. Among them, the export volume of products such as integrated circuits, computers and components increased by 28.6% and 7.9% respectively. Clothing, toys and other seven types of labor-intensive products exported 467 billion 140 million yuan, down 3.9%.

From the trade perspective, 1-2 months, general trade exports 1 trillion and 430 billion yuan, an increase of 3.6%, an increase of 1.8 percentage points to 58.9%. Processing trade exports 727 billion 130 million yuan, down 4.9%.
