Advocating Women'S Rights LVMH Hopes That The Proportion Of Female Executives Will Increase To 50% By 2020.
Women@Dior is part of the French luxury brand Christian Dior parent LVMH group promoting the implementation of gender equality pledge and safeguarding women's rights and interests EllesVMH activities.
In 2007, Chantal Gaemperle, executive vice president of human resources and synergy of LVMH group, founded EllesVMH project.
In March 14th, LVMH group held EllesVMH activities in Paris.
Chantal Gaemperle says Dior is a microcosm of LVMH's efforts to achieve gender equality.
Since the group began to emphasize the increase in women's employment opportunities, the proportion of female executives has risen from 23% to 42% in just two years.
LVMH hopes that the proportion of female executives will increase to 50% in 2020, and the future group will always strive to achieve this goal.
In 2017, with the support of Maria Grazia Chiuri, the first female creative director of Dior brand, Dior launched Women@Dior activities.
From the beginning of her term, she promoted Dior's women's equal rights. Empowering women has always been the core purpose of her design: Maria Grazia Chiuri's first work series contains a T-shirt with the slogan "We Should All Be Feminists".
"The significance of Women@Dior activities is that it spreads the message that we want to convey through fashion," she said in a statement.
In March 9th, Dior officially launched the third international female mentoring program Women@Dior in the Public Hotel hotel in lower city of Manhattan.
The number of trainees and trainees from France, Britain, the United Arab Emirates, China, Japan, the United States, Australia and Italy increased from 300 last year to 400.
The first two Women@Dior events were held in Paris, where Dior is headquartered. But in order to cooperate with the annual meeting of the United Nations Commission on the status of women, the venue was changed to New York.
In addition, male tutors joined the project for the first time.
Each student participating in the activity will be equipped with a male tutor and a female mentor.
They will interact at least once every quarter in the coming year.
One of the characteristics of Women@Dior is that the project chooses Dior employees who are in the initial stage of their career and younger, rather than senior senior managers as mentors.
Emmanuelle Favre, senior vice president of human resources at Dior, said that the arrangement is to enable young employees to fully understand the importance of gender equality at the beginning of their work.
Gender equality needs everyone's support, and men play a very important role in it.
Let male workers understand the meaning of gender equality when they first enter the workplace. When they become leaders of the company in the future, they will be more proactive in helping women get into the top of the group.
Secretary of state for equality, Marl Marl ne Schiappa and executive director of the United Nations women's Department, SA Regn e, will join the event to communicate with tutors and trainees.
The trainees are also close to understanding the operation mode of Dior, meeting with senior executives, and visiting the mentor's workplace.
The event organizing team will also work with local organizations to introduce more women's rights and human rights related public welfare projects.
