Jiangsu Has Published 40 Typical Cases Of Environmental Violations Involving Chemical, Iron, Steel, Printing, Dyeing And Other Fields.

The Jiangsu Provincial Department of ecology and environment 19 announced 40 typical cases of environmental violations in 2018, involving chemical, iron and steel, printing and dyeing, and other fields, including the direct discharge of production wastewater, the improper use of environmental protection facilities, the construction of pollution prevention facilities, the unauthorized commencement of EIA, and no effective dust control measures.

In May 21st last year, the Wuxi Environmental Protection Bureau conducted a petition investigation to three Wuxi high purity chemical Co., Ltd., and found that the company discharged the high concentration waste water generated by the two phase of the project without authorization. The water sampling station of the sewage treatment station was connected with tap water and deliberately interfered with the detection data, which was suspected to evade the illegal emission of pollutants.

In May 22nd, the Wuxi Municipal Environmental Protection Bureau issued a decision to correct the illegal act. In October 8th, the administrative penalty decision was imposed, fined 850 thousand yuan, and the case was pferred to the public security organ.

Last May 10th, the Environmental Protection Bureau of Wujin District of Changzhou conducted a field inspection of Run Xin India Cements Limited. It found that the company collected washing wastewater from clinker grinding cement processing project site, and discharged sewage from vehicle cleaning wastewater into the Tai canal.

The monitoring results showed that the pH value of the effluent was 11.42 and alkaline.

In May 13th, the Wujin District Environmental Protection Bureau ordered it to correct illegal sewage disposal immediately, and seized the vehicle washing equipment cabinet at the same time.

In June 10th, when the Wujin District Environmental Protection Bureau checked the scene, it was found that the company had not yet been put in place, so the deadline for sealing up was extended according to law.

In July 5th, the Wujin District Environmental Protection Bureau issued a decision on administrative penalties, fined 400 thousand yuan for the above environmental violations, and pferred the case to the public security organ.

Last April 9th, the Zhenjiang Environmental Protection Bureau and the Jurong Environmental Protection Bureau conducted a field inspection of Jurong Yuming Chemical Co., Ltd.

In July 10th, the Jurong Environmental Protection Administration issued a decision on administrative penalty, ordered the company to immediately correct the environmental violations, impose a fine of 400 thousand yuan, and pfer the case to the public security organ.

Since last year, our province has carried out environmental law enforcement with heavy punches, effectively deterred environmental violations, and investigated and dealt with a number of major cases in accordance with the law, such as "Huifeng" and "gall River Estuary". 18 thousand and 900 cases of environmental violations have been investigated and dealt with, fined 2 billion 116 million yuan, up 35% and 135% respectively over the same period, and 537 cases of environmental pollution crimes jointly organized by public security organs and 1575 suspects were arrested, up 6% and 68% respectively.
