Shanghai Spot Checks 40 Batches Of Snow Boots Products Failed 3 Batches

Recently, the website of the former Shanghai quality and Technical Supervision Bureau announced the results of the quality supervision and spot check of Shanghai snow boots products in 2018 (the second batch). This time, 40 batches of products were inspected, and 3 batches of the products failed.

Recently, the Shanghai municipal market supervision and Administration Bureau has conducted supervision and spot checks on the snow boots products produced and sold in Shanghai.

According to the national standards and related standards of QB/T4556-2013 snow boots, QB/T2955-2017 casual shoes and QB/T1002-2015 shoes, the following items of snow boots products were tested: sensory quality, color fastness to lining and internal friction, compression deformation of the bottom of micropores, decomposition of harmful aromatic amine dyes, free or partially hydrolyzed formaldehyde content, adhesive strength between the sole and the outer middle sole, the strength of the upper and the hardness of the bottom heel.

The spot checks found that the safety index of the 1 batches of products did not meet the standard requirements, the unqualified items involved were free or partially hydrolyzed formaldehyde content, and the main performance of 2 batches of products did not meet the standard requirements, and the unqualified items involved were flexural resistance.

Formaldehyde exceeds the standard shoes, in the daily wear process formaldehyde will gradually release, through the skin or respiratory tract direct contact, easy to cause dermatitis or respiratory tract inflammation.

In the daily wear process, shoes with unfolding resistance are prone to crack, crack, break and even crack. They not only affect the appearance of shoes, but also shorten the actual wear life.

The unqualified products found in the spot checks will be handed over to the market supervision department of the enterprises where they are located to deal with them in accordance with the law.
