How Wild Are Koreans? UNIQLO, Muji Is The Most " Injured "!
In South Korea, people have the tradition of "being the same as their own."
What is "body and soil"? As the name suggests, it means that the body is the same as the land property and can not be separated. According to Xinhuanet, the word appeared in the preface of the ancient medical book "Dongji Bao Jian" in Korea. Now, because of the protection of domestic industries, the Korean government has used the "body and reason" as a propaganda language to encourage people to buy their products.
With the surge of patriotism in South Korea and the surge of business, this idiom has become popular and has become a synonym for Korean support for domestic products.
Recently, Japan has intensified censorship and control over semiconductor materials exported to Korea, causing trade disputes between the two countries. The boycott of Korean products against Japanese products has become more intense and complex.
As early as July 11th, there was a website on the Korean Internet that could inquire whether a commodity was a Japanese brand. When the website was launched, it was enthusiasts welcomed by the Korean people. Only after more than a week, the website was branded.
Query Japanese goods website was brushing up
According to observer network, in July 11th, a new online community "NoNo Japan" appeared on the Korean social network. Users can share information about Japanese brands in the community, and can also find corresponding Korean local alternative brands. At present, more than 70 product information has been released on the website, and users can also publish information about Japanese products and their substitutes directly on the website.
On the 19 day, the website was brushing up due to frequent search operations by many users.

"I think it's best to share information about alternatives, not just tell them what products to boycott," a local newspaper quoted the founder of NoNo Japan as saying.
Korea's largest Japanese travel online community, the Japanese tourist club, has also decided to stop operation. The website operators no longer allow members to issue new posts to support the massive domestic boycott of Korean goods in South Korea. The operator of the website said: "as a manager of the Japanese tourism community, I hope I have symbolic significance for the support of boycott." The community was founded in 2003 and has more than 1 million 300 thousand members to share the travel tips for Japan.
A small and medium-sized shop in Inchon, South Korea, said 18 members had decided to take all Japanese goods off the shelves. The organization consists of about 1700 commercial organizations, including Inchon chamber of Commerce, Inchon branch of Korea mall Association and Inchon branch of Korea supermarket Association.
Earlier, the Korean small and medium sized Association of general friendship also announced the ban on the sale of Japanese goods, and said that as of 16, more than 3500 small businesses joined the boycott. On the 15 day, some Korean SME owners held a rally in front of the Japanese Embassy in Seoul, calling for boycott of Japanese products.
A poll released by Gallup of Korea on 12 showed that Japan's restrictions on the export of high-tech products in Korea greatly reduced its popularity among the Korean people. 77% of the Koreans said they did not want to show their friendship to Japan, and 67% said they would take part in the boycott of Japanese goods.
According to China Youth Network, Korean celebrities who posted Japanese tourism on the Internet, as well as "Internet red" which introduced Japanese cuisine, were criticized and even scolded by Korean netizens.
In addition to the line, the Korean people also held a rally at the Japanese Embassy in Korea or a well-known Japanese enterprise outside the Korean shops and offices, calling for boycott Japanese goods.
Intercepting reports from Yonhap
For example, when the chief financial officer of UNIQLO, South Korea issued a long speech after boycotting Japanese goods, angry customers quickly held a protest rally outside the Seoul headquarters of the Japanese company, which forced the company to make a statement to apologize for his improper remarks.
South Korea boycott Japanese goods
In this wave of boycott of Japanese goods, South Korea was almost "universal."
According to the Global Times quoted by Fuji FNN (Japan), more than 5000 South Koreans petitioned on the Chong Wa Dae website of the presidential palace, calling for boycott of Japanese goods, stopping buying Japanese cars and other products, not going to Japan, and calling on the government to impose retaliatory tariffs on Japan.
According to South Korea's "Central Daily", polls show that more than half of the people in South Korea say they have joined the boycott of Japanese goods. The polling agency Realmeter investigated the actual situation of 503 citizens participating in the boycott of Japanese goods. 54.6% of them said they were participating in the boycott of Japanese goods, an increase of 6.6 percentage points from last week. Another 66% said they would be involved in boycotting Japanese goods in the future.
According to CCTV news reports, although Korea has refused to buy Japanese goods in the past, the difference is that all restaurants and shops are involved in the activities of selling Japanese goods spontaneously. The boycott of Japanese goods is spreading to all parts of the country and all walks of life.
A banner hanging in front of a restaurant reads, "Japanese beer is 1 million won," which is equivalent to 5800 yuan for a cup. It is obvious that it does not want to sell.

Another shopping mall also hung a banner warning to Japanese Prime Minister Abe Shinzo, which said, "the mall has been selling alcohol from Japan in July 6, 2019." In Korea, more than 3600 small and medium-sized enterprises and more than 2.3 supermarkets have begun to withdraw more than 100 kinds of Japanese goods. Japanese beer dropped more than 20% in the 2 week of sales in Korea, and some shopkeepers have stopped selling Japanese beer.

After the outbreak of boycott of Japanese goods in South Korea, sales of UNIQLO were reduced by 26.2%. Another Japanese grocery brand, Muji, also cut sales by 19.2%.
The tourism industry in Korea has also been affected, and the number of tourists to Japan has dropped sharply. HANATOUR, the number one travel agency in Korea, said that they could receive more than 1100 Japanese travel orders a day before the Japanese export restrictions were taken, but the average daily volume decreased to 600 to 700 after July 8th.
Japan's Shimane county government has revealed that due to the reduction in tourists to Japan, the 6 round-trip charter flights between 13 days and 25 days of the airport between the clouds and the South Korean Kimpo Airport will be temporarily suspended. The 50 seats of the flight are all wrapped by Korean travel agencies and are exclusively used by Korean tourists to Japan. The AM travel agency, which sells charter products, said that after the boycott started, only half of the seats were available for charter flights, but it could reach 40.
